Philly I was able to get to show up through "add registration". Thanks for your help- I've got it installed now.

Philly Thanks for that. I didn't have Impulse on the machine I want to add WB to. So I installed impulse and logged on to my existing account (same account as the machine with WB7). However, when I clicked the "My Programs" tab, it doesn't show WB. Sorry to be so dense, but it seems to me that Stardock makes this process uneccesarily difficult.
Thanks, but like I said, I couldn't find where to download the installation software on Impulse. Right-clicking Window Blinds in "My Software", I did find the "download and archive" option, but I was unable to locate the installation software after I tried that. I wasn't sure exactly what I downloaded and where it went. Please tell me, specifically, where I can download the installation software in Impulse. Thanks.
I own a registered copy of WB 7, installed on one machine, and I would also like to install it on my laptop. I understand this is okay to do as long as I am the owner and primary user of both machines (which I am). However, I can't seem to locate the installation software anywhere although I assume I downloaded it when I installed WB originally. I also can't seem to be able to access it through Impulse. Does anybody know what, specifically, I need to do?
I've noticed that, with certain skins, toolboxes in my Adobe applications don't work the same. The main issue is that when I select a tool in the toolbox, it doesn't highlight. It's not a big deal and otherwise the application is skinned perfectly. It's mostly just a little annoying. However, not all skins have this problem. I'm wondering if anyone knows why the toolbox tools highlight fine with certain skins and don't with others and if there's any way to correct the issue.
A new twist: I set the gui to "Windows Standard" and then when I applied a skin, the taskbar was there. What's odd is that I didn't need to take this extra step before (it always worked fine when applying a skin with Vista aero as the default). Hmmm.... Oh well, at least I can do it this way.
Ah....system restore. That's what you meant. No, I haven't tried that but I will.
What happens when you max a window?
Nothing! Anyway, I'll have to revisit this in the morning. Thanks for everyone's advice. I'm thinking I'll probably have to uninstall/reinstall WB. I'll let you know how it turns out.
Did you try the restore function or uninstall then reinstall of WB's?
No. Where is the "restore function"?
2007 is version 6. Open Impulse, right click Windowblinds, verify installation.
I did and it's installed correctly.
Yes, I have a restore point. I'll try that first as it's the less drastic option.
Okay, so this is weird. I've been using WB with no problems until yesterday. I had restored the look of the OS to regular vista temporarily and then when I went to apply a skin, the taskbar was missing. The only thing that showed was the start button. I tried several different skins and had the same problem. So I go back to the standard Vista look, restart the machine and try applying a skin again. No task bar. Funny thing is, I haven't updated WB lately or anything like that. I did install a
I got it and the WB update did the trick.[e digicons][/e]
Thanks. I don't have Impulse, but I guess I'd better get it, eh?
I'd love to update WB. Unfortunately, I've spent the last 15 minutes searching in vain on the Stardock website looking for an update link. Does anyone know where they hide it?
I just downloaded SD's two recent Vista themes, frost and midnight. Everything seems fine except that I don't see the patterns in the backgrounds of open windows (e.g. the horizontal pinstripes in midnight, or the subtle texture in frost) in either skin. However, if I apply the older "Leo" skin, those pinstripes show up fine. I fiddled around in the WB configuration menus and made sure that the "I want skins to be able to apply textures to the back of explorer windows" box is checked. It is.
Thanks,Bichur I'll use SD Central next time.
Via the link.
I just downloaded the update for WB 6. Do I need to uninstall 6.0 before installing the update? Thanks
I downloaded the update. Do I need to remove WB 6.0 before launching the installer for the updated version? Thanks to all those who have responded so far. I appreciate it.
Have you updated to the latest version through Stardock Central from the link in reply #2.? Your version dates are old and the update should resolve your issue. If not, post your WindowBlinds System info again after updating.
I don't think so. I'll check into that. Thanks.
Can you tell me whether this is the trial version or the paid version?
It's the paid version.
Okay, here's a strange one. I've been running WB 6 for several weeks now with no major problems. I restarted my computer today and suddenly WB won't apply any of the skins. I start out in Windows classic style, and other than changing some of the colors, no skin is applied. I have restarted before without trouble, so I'm not sure what's up now. Vital stats: WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 6.0 (build 32 x86) WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC WindowBli
I'm new to Object Dock. Two questions: First, is there a way to use icons from IconPackager on the dock? Those icons are in Icon libraries and Object Dock can't seem to access them. Second, how do I find new icons at WinCustomize? I tried the Object Dock downloads, but there's backgrounds, tiles, etc., all mixed in. Is there an easier way to find just icons for Object Dock? Thanks.
Thanks, Bichur
Hi. I just purchased the WB6 upgrade. I currently have WB5.1. Do I need to uninstall the old WB, or can I just install 6 now? Thanks.
