Don't like the idea of more lasers, too many for the TEC as it is. They should be using more autocannons seeing as they are low tech traders. Especially the Turret variety.

I am sure Ninja will have a few choice words, but I think many will agree. The TEC's Autocannon Turrets are their coolest and most functional weapon. And that we would like more ships to be equipped with them like say the Kodiak Cruiser. Or put them on the Marza Dreadnought once again. But in general the TEC could use some more the kinetic masterpiece: Autocannon Turrets!
I think the cruisers are fine, but Kodiak needs some more firepower. And would like that extra firepower to include a few autocannon turrets. One of the coolest weapons the TEC have, yet only found on one ship.
Do the other races have broadcast towers or only the TEC? The same with Trade Stations?

Like I said in previous posts I'm fine with the cruisers now, however I think the Kodiak because it is a combat Oriented Cruiser deserves upgrades in the weapon department. And I would like for the ship to be equipped with Autocannon Turrets, seeing as the weapon has only been used on one ship so far. And it just plain rocks!
The Kodiak needs an upgrade in firepower seeing as its the only combat oriented Cruiser. The idea I have is replace its default weapons with a rail gun, like the one found on the Kol Battleship for long range fire support. And then give it Autocannon Turrets for close in weaponry. Its intercept ability could use a boost, because as of now its quite pointless. While the other cruisers could benefit with anti fighter defense.
I was wondering where someone could get the symbols for the different races to make a wallpaper? Or if their are wallpapers in planing or development by Ironclad?
If we want to keep the cruisers the way they are, then the Kodiak does need a boost in firepower because it is obviously a combat oriented cruiser. And the others could benefit from anti fighter defense. Also the Kodiak's special ability: Intercept. Doesn't seam all that effective, is it just me or does the speed increase seem futile?
It makes sense that eventually our children will become specialized at younger ages. But what this father did was wrong, and the fact that other surgeries were performed by the child instead of a licensed surgeon is disturbing. Now if it was an emergency and the kid had obvious traning, then it wouldn't be such a big deal. But I am sure the patient didn't request the son to perform the operation.
Capital ships shouldn't be researched. Maybe one or two if they add a new one. They are meant to be your virtual presence in the game. Eventually once the devs enable it, we will be able to name them. They are the key figure in your single player or multiplayer experience.

Is their a reason the Turrets on the Kol were changed to these new ones? In all honesty the other turret models were far superior, made the weapon look imposing. These new ones look ok but where are the textures?
If you remove the guns on the cruiser class and rename them support ships. I'll shut up, but don't call them cruisers and not expect people to ask why the hell they don't have weaponry greater than a frigate.
How about this for an idea Sentient: Take cruisers double their supply and production cost. Give them some more armor and shielding and give them a boost in weaponry, especially the Kodiak and the Command Cruiser (For the Command Cruiser add a few autocannon turrets, the TEC need some more kinetic love. Or whatever). Just a bump for the Robotics Cruiser. And an extra squadron or two for the Carrier but only accessed through research. And you will have cruisers that are balanced, ineffec
I know they use different weapons, but why not go all the way?
Because Sentient for their cost in research, production, supply points their not really worth it. Why don't the developers release a test patch that give the cruisers a little more firepower or something else. The main thing is this, we have 230 odd days left, why not try a patch that gives the TEC cruisers some more firepower. Why not a few autocannon turrets, or lasers, or missiles. It doesn't matter. Cruisers need some more firepower. And would like to see more use of autocannons or other kinetic weaponry. The TEC are supposed to be low tech traders after all.
A metalic slug fired from a space-based railgun at the earth with enough force would cause a blast similar to a micro nuclear detonation without the side effects of radiation. At least in theory. Also rail guns, at least the ones being developed today on earth would be able to penetrate the strongest armor on a main battle tank to a sea based carrier.
Actually in space a railgun would cause more damage than a laser. The reason for this in general is that because their is no friction in space, thus there is nothing to slow down a projectile. It would cause more significant kinetic energy. Which is one of the most powerful forms of energy in the universe.

Will pirates have their own unique ships. Such as different models. Right now their good, but they would be so much cooler if they had a custom ship or two. Maybe a combat cruiser for those truly devious raiding operations?
