I wish Beta 1 was back. Even though the game had much missing and was TEC vs. TEC, It had a simple elegance to it.

Its good to see people excited about the original TEC Beta ships, now if Ironclad would just release them as a download that would be awesome. Or release all the original ships from the three races as an add-on, sort of like a view into the past. But definitively they should release the original Beta Marza and Kol, the new ones though nice are not the same.
No I am talking about the very first beta release. All TEC capital ships had different models with different firing arcs and the Dreadnought had considerable more forward firepower.
I remember when I first downloaded the beta when it was originally released. The game was so different, and the capital ships felt powerful, the TEC felt human. Now not so much, is it possible to get the original TEC ships back? They felt more human, more industrial. The original Kol Battleship and Marza Dreadnought were my favorite, and both felt powerful and had a ugly beauty about them.

Galactic Events would be a great feature for sins, and the implementation of a checkbox to allow players to choose if they want them would be a smart move as well. Random events bring the lifeblood to a series.

We will be able to name our capital ships in the future, the button that does this and many other things is as of now disabled.
Jump gates only for the Vasari, not for the rest. We want each race to feel unique not the same with different models.
In the beginning of the game, or at least to me it seams that its a race between to methodologies. Research or Production... In the Research category its a rush for either Weapons Technology or Empire Tech (Guns & Butter). While in the production category your rushing to build your military and logistics foothold in your solar system(Warships, Trading Vessels, and Structures). This creates a unique situation that diversifies the game. All paths are not absolutely correct, and all paths
Bottom line is this: the TEC need another combat oriented ship and this Destroyer proposal is the best Idea. It would help with the late game spamming of Kodiak Cruisers, and also be a good interim Capital class warship. But if the destroyers don't make it into the game, then the Kodiak needs an upgrade in firepower and fields of fire.
The Capital ships do need varied costs and more defined roles. And I have been saying the same thing for a long time that the Marza dreadnought is not much of a Dread.

Is the model issue of the Kol Battleship's turrets fixed? i.e. replacing the old model with the new one.
