Just wanted to say great MOD guys & thanks.
@Skyjack What skill level are the AI opponents and are there teams? Magnetic clouds do indeed disable special abilities, but it has no effect on strike craft launching or normal weapons fire. My guess is: 1. That you're playing against some really vicious AI's (especially if they have 32 caps at the 2 hour mark). 2. You're in a plasma storm so that strike craft launch is disabled. 3. The AI's both have
Weapons are never disabled by a storm or nebula. Only strike craft or special abilities, but only one even then. The disabled weapons is either some glitch I've never heard of (let us know all the details if you're using DS so we can make sure it's not us) or it could be that they're using Armistice. Although it rarely happens, it is possible to keep the ability continuous with 3 Akkan. Can't think of other reasons.
Not sure if this is DS related but curious if any of you has seen this: Playing vs 4 AI opponents and at some point after 2 hours playtime I explore a Magnetic cloud (i think), and what do find? 2 of my opponents have their ENTIRE fleets in there, "fighting". I mean 32 CAP ships and their entire compliment of Cruisers and Frigates! The problem? Their weapons are mostly disabled so they can't kill each other. They can only, it seems, fire occa
Got a planet with 0 Population in my current game. All tech reserched. It seems it has Completely Overgrown attribute and another I cant remember. It has -100 pop grownth so I guess it's WAD?
Get rid of the siege ships. Pirates should cause havoc with trade/production infrastructure. But shouldn't be bombing the colonies. There's no money in that. It not about them gaining money by taking it from you, someone paid money for them to disrupt you. Not all income comes from tradeports. There no better way to cause havoc than to nuke the planet so you have to spend money to recolonize it and rebuil
I totally agree with the dozen posts here stating that the pirates should be disruptive, not destructive. Destroying moderately upgraded starbases? Destroying the entire population of a planet? Defeating AI fleets? Allowing players to defeat AI players by proxy? Ok, so Stardock has good programmers but need a lesson in game balance Pirate planet sieging should damage planet health, but mini
Progen, Radiance, Rapture. Force enemies to target the radiance with animosity, use the rapture to amplify the damage done back.
Best combo in the game IMO.
For the first time I've sent an email to support to see what they come up with.
I tried the newest (for 260 gtx) and the freeze-ups have resumed. I mean freeze/powerbutton to shut down freezes. Just curious which ones are working for you guys?
Well I played a huge game as the small Indian faction and never noticed, lol. (I did protect my shores, etc though heh)
It's broken w/o naval invasions. It's supposedly fixed monday, with the patch, though.
Frankly I think it was worth full price from 1.1. Nothing's perfect.
Really? Even with naval invasions not happening?
"Transcendia's Mass Disorient/Meteor Storm combo." So is this considered the best use of Advent bases? I've been trying different combinations but I'm wondering what others are doing with Advent starbases.
I like it too.
Yes I have also seen this.
Hi, all. Now that I have a subwoofer I find the "sold resource" sound reeeeeeeealy annoying. It is unesecarily loud and bass heavy. Was looking for the file, does anybody know if it's called "effect_coindrop.ogg"? _ can't open ogg files. Thanks P.S. If it its, can I just remove it with no ill consequence?
Well I found out it is and I can . &nb

Same thing happens when clicking REPAIR from a repair structure, then clicking empty space.
Is there any way to remove ships from a group ? The manual says CTRL+SHIFT+ (0-9) but it soesn't seem to work. I looked in Key Bindings but did not see the option. This is annoying since I use groups as a backup to fleets, since fleets are "broken"*. Thanks * By "broken" I mean fleets don't always hold together when they mix in a grav-well to the point
What about when some ships belong to more than one group, but you want to exclude them from one or the other?

Fleets are screwey. Ships from one will migrate to another. You'd think it's be more important to fix this, considering the game stresses fleets.
Have the devs ever commented on broken fleets? Wow.
I posted in "General" forum under the thread "Fleet Integrity" about how fleets which are in the same grav well will trade ships, drop ships, etc. Fll\eet do not maintain their make-up. It's extremely annoying to say the least. One guy answered he doesn't even bother with fleets anymore. Another said just use control groups instead of fleets. If it's really broken why are there not many posts about this? Since fleets seem to be important
