I see, i'll look into it.
ManSh00ter made some comments about the reduced speed in the Dynamic Battle System mod thread. It looks like he cut the speed because it made battles shorter as a result. He mentions that with more speed, the attack runs each ships makes give them less time to fire on the enemy. With high speed it would also take longer for ships to turn around and attack again.
The problem

I got it as a gift soon after it came out. From what I recall the main menu did not support the mouse. I got to the third campaign and then didn't play any more. I played a little more last year after I GFWL became free to play games over it. It was a hassle setting up a GFWL account and they still had the a and b buttons on the GFWL menus(did they ever change that?). I had very hard time figuring out why I couldn't connect to GFWL, then I found out it was becaus

Why did you have seven repair bays considering they don't stack? Two probably would have been good as that would leave you with 10 tactical slots that could be used for other things. 2 hangers with bombers should help a lot. The time it takes for the Vasari starbase to build and upgrade should give you enough time to scuttle any fighters the hanger defenses have and replace them with bombers. That leaves 2 tactical slots you could use for turrets that could be plac
I've been starting with just random maps, and if your home planets connects with 3 or more other worlds, unless you're really fast getting things started, you're screwed...
I strongly agree with this. I ended up with 2 of the 12k health/shields unknown ships in the gravity well of my homeworld the first time I played. Since it was my first time, I was slow in buulding up and only had my homeworld.
If Halopedia is incorrect, it's not valid as a source for anything is it? In that case, you would have to produce quotes from books to prove anything you say if we can't go by Halopedia. You didn't "disprove" anything, you just said "lol, halopedia is wrong, that bomb is actually much bigger!"
Sorry for not quoting my entire post then:
That is one of the reasons to question everything Halopedia has. Halopedia did the calculation with 30 megatons per warhead in the NOVA. As I pointed out:
The UNSC HAVOK tactical nuclear mines

Truth: - Frogboy and other members of Stardock saying that only the retail install of SINS directly from the disc is DRM free. Fact: - Frogboy has said Impulse is a form of DRM. Baseless: - your claim. Lacking: - research before you made this claim.
check this site then...http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Isoton for each of the claim it is backup by an an episode in the series
I just did, it doesn't provide anything really useful for debate given the inconsistencies. If we attempted to convert each instance into kilotons and found how many kilotons there were per isoton, each example would give a different result. I decided to check the 30 trillion megaton claim and it doesn't work out E=MC^2 C = 299,792,458 E = 1.234 * 10^29 J 1.234 * 10^29 = M(299,792,458 * 299,792,458) Solve for M in Kg 1.234 * 10^29 / (299,792,458 * 299,792,458) = M M = 1.373E12 Kg Average male 86.6 Kg 1.373E12/86.6 = 1.585E10 Using 1.234 * 10^29 J for photon torpedoes means that the total mass(1/2 anti-mate

And it can do this instantly. At this point, there ceases to be a difference between 'technology' and 'magic', which goes to sho

Considering that 'isotons' are a fictional unit of measurement, until someone provides calculations on what one isoton is equivelent to they are totaly useless in this debate. Is it really hard for people on the Star Trek side to properly cite their claims? I have provided weapon range and weapon speed for the Covenant that is beyond anything the Star Trek side has proved. I am honestly starting to get annoyed at the claims made about Star Trek without evidence. <

Did a little math because I had nothing better to do(and wanted to know the answer myself) Mass of Earth's oceans: 1.4E21Kg 1.4E21 x 1000 = 1.4E24 grams Assume 17 degress Celsius for oceans Raise temperature to 100C 1.4E24 * (100C-17C) * 4.186J/g C = 1.4E24 *(83)*4.186 = 1.4E24 * 347.438 = 4.864132E26 J 4.864132E26 J to raise the temperature from 17C to 100C Now add the energy required for vaporization: 1.4E24 g * 2261 J/g = 3.1654E27 J<br /
6) The Nova bomb, which is nine fusion warheads encased in lithium triteride (from here on reffered to as LT shell), has huge destructive potential. So much, that is literally a planet-killer, and is nicknamed as such. loosely calculated, it has a 27 gigaton yield. this is because of a) nine fusion warheads, assumed at 30 megatons each; and b ) the LT shell reflects the blast in upon itself, thus increasing the strength a hundredfold and compressing the core to neutron

The bad thing for Star Trek is that only the TV episodes and movies count for canon, rendering all novels, tech guides or anything else useless for this debate. On the other hand Halo's novels do count, which gives us the insane firepower of both the super MACs and the NOVA bomb. The UNSC is the perfect enemy for the Borg with their projectile weapons. As Borg drones have NEVER demonstrated the ability to handle kinetic energy based weapons, they will be cut down l

The 'shields have failed' messages get annoying quickly. I think it would be good if you replaced the sound file with one that says something along the lines of 'capital ship has engaged the enemy' or 'capital under attack. The Advent's Mass Transcendence fits well with the Cylons. Here is one way you could modify it: Let them have it earlier but weaker at first, without the bonus XP from combat. Say at two labs you can get ships up to level 2 at a slow rate.

The Galactica class seems a bit too powerful. I was able to find the homeworld of a Cylon AI and bombard it while fighting off the AI's fleet. I managed to kill the homeworld with just the Galactica-class ship and didn't even need to pay attention to the battle other than to fire off flak once in a while. I understand the Colonials are more powerful than the Cylons and it was early game so I was fighting only one enemy capital ship at a time, but I don't think I should hav

SINS will be on Steam sometime after the Half-Life series is on Impulse. Seriously, since Steam and Impulse are direct competetors don't expect them to share exclusive games. Plus I am pretty sure patching for Steam would be a hassle at best and a major problem at worst. To my knowledge Steam uses normal patches that have been modified to be compatable with Steam to update(at least that is what I have heard). Impulse does not use patches for upda

In an attempt to be on topic, I would pick a program where I have a holosuite that I have full control over. Since I circumvented the restriction in the OP, I then do what ever I want. Such as: - a space war that makes Legend of the Galatic Heroes look like a small skrimish. - drop Bolos(Mk XXXIII or higher) into various universes to see what happends. Say one of the Gundam universes or another mech based universe. Also, the D&D idea sound very good
