I have a copy of sins tied to my stardock account. I can click on my account and see my serial for sins. How the heck do I get Impulse to download a copy? I just bought the expansion on Impulse but it says I don't have the original game. What do I do?

When my entire fleet dies the upkeep needs to go back to 0 so I can rebuild. In the current system the upkeep remains constant regardless of how many units you have deployed.
Fix PJIs, but also lower their tech level and make them more expensive. Also increase the time on normal phasing, and allow us to bring a PJI to the party. Phase lane tag is not fun.
Rock/paper/scissors argument does not apply to tactics and strategies, only units.
I gotta break your balls there real quick. In the majority of RTS's there's three rock paper scissors strategies. Rush Expand Turtle Rush beats expand, Turtle beats rush, expand beats turtle, or something like that. Expand also means resource rush, where you attempt to get the most resources with minimal defenses
This debate is awesome but no one has discussed the only issue that matters: Does it make the game fun? Let's not forget that in the end game there's something like 250 ships per fleet. I don't want to have to tactically attempt to micro 250 ships, hell I can't even click on the ship I want in a 50 ship fleet.
I have a couple of solutions to offer on this then: 1: Make a separate super-weapon that is available to all three races that is a special phase-jump disruptor. We could set it so that there can only be one for your whole empire so that you do not shut off ALL of the approaches to the core of your empire (unless you were smart and found a spot with a single planet choke-point to set up behind). The disruptor could have a range just for that gravity well (it i
There is so much good response in here I would love to see a developer response.
Waffles. Nothing else.
What!? Someone summon my unholy powers?
No one here really discussed how this effects multi-player, granted there are other threads for that, but I just want to point out that the fleets having no blocking ability makes it impossible to form a front line.
I've played two 4 hour multiplayer games and finished one. Totally awesome when you have the time to do it.
Ha the Benny Hill cracked me up. So how about some box targeting!
Only a senior by a minute I'm sure, and I always assumed there was no Z in the design.
Don't call people dumb . Especially when you can't spell! I'm sorry for the spelling but I wrote it fast and English is NOT my main language. Yeah, I
Don't call people dumb :D . Especially when you can't spell!
Hey Ron I appreciate the knowledge bud thanks for clearing most stuff up.
I don't think people realize how big these ships are. In Return of the Jedi, the big ships were not moving much. It's the fighters that do the moving. Ever watch Babylon 5? A *frigate* in Sins is about the same size as a Hyperon class destroyer (1200m). If you look in the manual, the capital ships tend to have tens of thousands of crew on them. Think super star destroyer size. How much movement would you expect there?
<b
Keep effects from stacking, one use depowers them all.
ugh another post about this? make it use antimatter , put a 3 to 5 minute lockdown when it autocasts, and once it does autocast it needs 10 min to recharge.
What about that idea or something like it? I think that's a great solution.
I disapprove of phasing tag (sticks tongue out). You DO realize that while you're sitting there pouting about why you can't just punch an I WIN button to blow up his capital ship, he has some colonies you could be razing to the ground right? When I get tired of chasing siege frigates around I go nuke his homeworld while he's wasting his time dropping bombs on my worthless asteroids.
<b
Holy smokes! I just read all three pages. Do I get a medal? In all seriousness though I think people are missing the point. Instead of having a geek battle about which form of space combat is more realistic (I don't mean this in derogatory manner I am a nerd and I absolutely loved reading that debate) we need to debate what is more fun. I also request a developer to come in here and clear the record. Everyone keeps talking like they actually understand the mec
I hated SOTS. I remember reading the forums for weeks before its release, everyone was so stoked. I remember after it came out buying it online immediately, and wanting to love it, but it was absolutely awful in every way. I remember the way that developer, his name started with a K or something, treated anyone who disagreed with him and though SOTS was broken. The forums flamed anyone who didn't like the game. It was the most elite fanboism I have ever seen in an online gaming forum (this is co
I disapprove of phasing tag (sticks tongue out). Make a counter super weapon that shoots down the super weapon and kills people in phase transit with a bad ass graphic!
Wow I just read that. You own. *takes hat off*
I think a great solution to this would be to steal a gameplay mechanic from Company Of Heroes. Allow a tech research that gives your fleets the option of retreating through hyperspace. This forces them to retreat to the capital home world at the cost of time in hyper space. I'm sure something like this could be engineered. That way you could still retreat from a battle, but not run amok like the current system has players doing.
I think the main problem is in the feeling. Anyone else feel like their fleets are permeable? They have no substance. Everyone can just move right through you like water through a sieve. You can't hold the front lines because even with a PJI (assuming you played long enough to get one before getting pissed) ships escape. I had enemy siege frigates three planets in, after flying through 2 asteroids with 2 hangers of 3 bomber squads each. It just seems to me like the fleets lack any mass. If this
We need an PJI we can bring with us to the party.
