You can tell Apple are getting successful - it now becomes cool to hate them. I can't remember where but Frogboy mentioned that he still likes Microsoft, and when they were a smallish company back in the early nineties they were the cool company to like.

Provided they aren't within say a month of each other there won't be a problem. Also I suspect that at least one of them won't get released on time anyway.
TBSs are like London buses [e digicons]:)[/e] Although try not to get yourself in too much competition with them, we all know everyone wants to play both at some point but given a choice at a store most would plump for Civ because it's already a well known title.
There is something like this in ETW but it's so badly implemented that I've never ever had a city surrender to me.
The game isn't released for at least (and I mean at least) six months, so it's not surprising they aren't doing much interviews etc. Plenty of info here though! If you want to try the beta, it will be opening up again for beta 2 around the end of the month maybe (they don't keep to rigid schedules ATM). It is a proper beta though, with rubbish graphics and lots of crashes currently.
Internet is not required for single player. However internet is required to play the beta currently (it makes updates and data fixing easier). So best to wait for release.
The Dip one is a preorder beta (albeit the last one, since it hasn't been released yet.
Look who's back. I thought you weren't returning until May Hortz?
Banned for slacking off
Be warned that the beta is very baisc currently. They are deliberately taking their time to get as much player feedback implemented before the release.
With respect to 2, essence limits cities a lot currently anyway. ICS isn't a viable strategy.
I lurk on too many SD forums. At original announcement.
well there's this picture
The beta will reopen for beta 2, which is scheduled for February sometime.
The spelling in the thread title isn't very amazing

And animations are a type of graphic.
That is one impressive ego. And one impressive ban about to happen. Hortz, you seem to be under the impression that you are the master of the gaming industry and all games will fail unless they do exactly as you say. I'd like to see what your qualifications are because I suspect that they will be a lot less than BoogieBac's
Didn't take long did it?
There's a difference between making a theory to fit the evidence and making the evidence fit a theory. In the second category comes most conspiracy theories, since its the only way they can try to ignore the Himalayan scale amount of evidence against whatever they are claiming

None of the games in the article are released yet. It's previews of what they think are going to be the top ten games this year.
This is an impressive flame war I must say. A highly amusing read.

Even Britain is freezing, we haven't seen anything above freezing for days now and Scotland was down at -16 celcius a week or two ago. Heavy snow tonight, and I'm in probably the warmest part of Britain.
