I am yet to meet a game where there aren't players who call the AI a joke. I mean, have you been to the Empire TW forums recently? Just because you can beat it doesn't mean everyone else can. People have wildly over-expectant ideas of how good AI is going to be, when lets face it, a good human player can trounce anything. To make a really good AI takes years and years and collossal amounts of processing power. Pointless for computer games.

hang on, have you ever even used impulse??? Your argument is utterly ridiculous when you look at it. I mean, would you only buy things like clothes from your favourite shop and never buy anything from anywhere else? You are not going to find anyone who agrees with you over why you are not buying the game. Read this if you still think you have a point.

Everyone will tell you a different thing. I think one of the problems with ETW is its sheer magnitude. Its such a big game that it has quite a few flaws. If you can see past the slightly dodgy (at times) AI and occasional annoying bugs its a great game. They are doing plenty of patches for it so hopefully soon it will be a lot better.

The Maya calendar thing is a myth, especially since the Mayans themselves didn't think that there would be an apocalypse, since there are actually many Mayan inscriptions showing dates beyond 2012, and there is never, ever, any reference to an apocalypse then. What 2012 was to the Mayans was the end of a calendar cycle, where they'd have a big party and start a new cycle (they seriously lked to plan ahead didn't they). So the Mayan apocalypse stories are roughly equivalent to thos
