With outlaw sectors on the pirates can attack multiple players at once. If more raids spawned that players with bounty, that can happen.
Thanks.
I haven't played regularly in a few years, so maybe this is the result of a change I'm not aware of or don't understand. I tried a multiplayer game with a buddy and we turned on outlaw sectors and pirates. I was attacked four cycles in a row by huge pirate fleets, even though each time there was no bounty on me and 20k credit bounties on our enemies, who were also attacked. What am I missing here? Why am I being targeted without having a bounty?
Quoting hedetet, reply 7 What's the difference between the AI and Post-Humans? Aren't they essentially different flavors of AI? The Post-Humans are humans who have evolved beyond their biology. The Substrate were created by humans as an arti
So many people wailing about Wail. It is really not that hard to counter. Use a Kostura to go directly to the high population planets, or to disable Temples of Communion. Use Novaliths to reduce the populations of threatening planets. If the population is low, Wail does no damage. Wail is an emergency weapon that is very self-destructive to use.
Yep. Why is Advent Rebel so much better than Advent Loyalist? Primarily because of Wail and the Eradica -- and think about how uncompetitive AL is compared to Vasari and TEC. I don't believe that either are overpowered at all because you have to look at how they work with the faction as a whole.
TEC and Vasari both have strong counters for this ability. Even though starbases can prevent the loss of planets from bombardment, Novaliths can still kill the planet's population. With a low population, Wail is not a threat. Focus your Novalith's fire on planets with high population, based on the bath you're taking as you invade. If you are Vasari, you can use the Kostura to either disable the temples used to cast the ability at planets adjacent to the planet you plan to
Obvious troll?
I absolutely loved Supreme Commander and Forged Alliance, and I am very excited for Demigod. But I have to ask: does Demigod run more smoothly than Supcom?
I hope you have more!
Well, since everyone knows that Star Wars happened "A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away", the movies are not really Science Fiction as much as they are Historical Documents. Sci-Fi channel, IIRC, doesnt focus much on biographies or re-creations of historical happenings, so it probably doesn't like airing the movies. All kidding aside, it probably doesn't want to pay the licensing rights to show the movie.
best reply ever
Gallente? UGLY? Have you ever SEEN a Minmatar or Caldari ship? The Megathron is the best looking ship in the game!
The Hyperion, Thorax, Myrmidon, and a few others are cool. The rest? Eh. Certainly not the Megathron.
Eve sounds fun, but is it only PVP?
No, but you can be attacked anywhere. There's a system in place that effectively outlines where PVP is open and allowed, and to what degree, but it's not perfect. If you're careless you can be attacked anywhere. If you're careful, you're safe. It is a lot of fun, but you have to realize that you're a noob, or you will die constantly.
I actually just started playing EVE recently, and I like it a lot. It is extremely cutthroat, but if you remember that it's a game, then you don't bitch when you're destroyed. I've fallen into several traps, and you know what I say afterwards? Good job. Then I end up talking to the people who took me out. You know what they say? Thanks for not complaining. All of these things are part of the game. Are personal attacks? Not really, no. Would I care if you cursed me out o
Mmm, Hurricane. What I really want is Sins ships in Eve. Specifically, I want the Rapture Battlecruiser. Delicious. Anyways, do the Gallente last. So ugly.
You need to make sure that the fleet you are attempting to bring to the Marauder (or transport away from it) is ready to jump when you trigger the ability. The duration is low enough that if it turns off before your ships reach the end of the gravity well, they'll take the long road. It sounds like this is what happened to you. Additionally, the Marauder cannot use this ability on itself.
Oh boy. They're all pretty nice, except for the revelation, but I am partial to the Desolator and the Rapture. Awesome.
Why won't Starcraft II live up to the best RTS of the past decade? Because the best RTS of the last decade was Total Annihilation. Okay, okay, yeah, TA came out in '97, but you know what I mean. Starcraft II looks like it will be a carbon copy of Starcraft, except with better graphics. If you want to improve on a game with a sequel, do what Chris Taylor did with TA and Supreme Commander, even though SC isn't an official sequel. Frankly, the second best RTS (or at least the m
I suspect that a level 1 Jarrasul Evacuator with nano-disassembler and bombers is capable of defeating any other level 1 capital ship. Anyone want to give it a shot? I don't find it surprising that some ships are, 1 on 1, more powerful than battleships. The Marza may win, but how readily can it target enemies assaulting it from all sides? The Radiance and the Kortul certainly do not have that problem. They may not be more powerful one on one, but I suspect that versus frigat

This is a stretch, but this game doesn't take advantage of multiple cores. Might your processor be a bottleneck on a large map like that? Just a suggestion. I am limited to the size of map I can play because my C2D can't quite keep up.
Vanilla SupCom supports both DX9 and DX10, where as the expansion supports only DX9.There is no graphical selection like in other multi-DX games, you either run DX10 or you dont. They also stated, which made me a bit wary when I saw the "high-res" videos of the expansion, that they will no longer be supporting DX10 (since the market was so small)
This . . . just isn't true. Look anywhere, and the only mention of DirectX 10 in regards to Supreme Commander will be that it w
For further reference, Supreme Commander (Orignal, not the expansion) runs DX10 & DX9 as well - and the difference between the DX9 and DX10 versions are dramatic.DX9 on SupCom *vanilla* is a lot slower on my system, and looks like Empire Earth 2.DX10, with the graphics turned all the way up, looks like some divine entity came down and said "you are not worthy - but you will TASTE MY POWER UNBELIVER!"Its a very big difference, infact the difference was so big that when I picked up SupCom :
DX10 is a resource eater. Also: why do you have a quad core, 3gb of ram, and an 8500 GT? I'm not trying to be rude, but your video card is a bottleneck.
Whoops, double post.
