I have always felt that the starbases should have AA as a option to fit it out with. I mean come on, these can be built as a DEFENSIVE structure. Yes, they can be used in an economic sense, or a a ship builder or a system controller. But if you are building a defensive station, then you NEED AA capability. It is too easy to take a starbase out of action with nothing but some carriers. Yes, you can send your OWN onboard bombers and such after them, but then you are open to THEI

You want to see a corvette? Picture #2, at the bow of the titan above the Cobalt. Look at the gamespy picture. It is easier to see there. That does not look familiar to me. Might that be the bugger?

No Flagship love for me. If I add the flagship mod then the DS V1 mod, I get a minidump. I can add any of the other mods in proper stacking order and things play great. Yes, I did the basic just Flagship and DS V1.0 in diplomacy and it is no joy for me. I even deleted and reloaded the expansion and it still did not work for me. Has anybody else have this issue?

I can not say THANK you enough that you are going to give me a alternative to that product that GameStop now has. If you are going to require us to download updates from a client instead of a downloadable patch, PLEASE make it consumer friendly like Impulse USED to be. Thank you for remembering your customers.

Thank you Stant for finding that. If it was going to be release on December 1st, I would hope they let out that beta SOON. I did my pre-order, but I have never heard a thing back. Now that Gamestop owns Impulse, I hope they do not lose my pre-order info. Stardock I have faith in. GameStop.. I have no faith in.
i think there a few good fixes to the problem. 1 - Pirate strength is proportional to bounty. So what happens is that every player bids an amount as a sort of 'contribution' to the pirate supply. After time limit - pirate attacks the player who paid the pirate least with a strength and fleet size that is proportional to the total amount of contributions from other player

The Pirates are uber powerful now but predictable. I do not even try to fight them off anymore. I just build up sacrifical planets. They always attack your closest planets. I do not invest in those planets anymore. No starbase, no research centers. I colonize them, build them to reduce the negative tax rate and then max the planet slots. I build LOTS of trade centers and hanger bays. I figure I might as well make as much money as possible before it is destroyed again. The hanger

Lord yes the pirates are a LOT tougher. I just had them chew up a fully upgraded TEC SB in less than a minute. The pirates have a MUCH longer firing range than they used too, They stood outside of the firing range of the SB and just pounded it to pieces in nothing flat.

I see several things that have changed. When ships get damaged, there are no effects. No flame, smoke or other indications that the thing is near death. I was just expermenting with the new 1.0 and had a Cobalt that was down to 15 hull and it looked like it was fresh off the shelf. Another little bug: The loading bar on the start spash screen is now off center, the left most edge is covered by the feet of the officer standing there. It is no longer centered on the image above

Well, much better. I love being able to give the pirates missions on the fly and just create chaos at will. ...but... ..No missions from the AI's.. They just sit there and tell you how much they dislike you. The only way I could improve relations were to give them money, metal, and cystal. That and spam the daylights out of the envoy cruisers. With no missions you could not improve relations just by having fun blowing things up for them. Also, I am not sure I l

I never thought about it, but that is an EXCELLENT IDEA. If I am paying them to clobber someone, why DON'T we have a cease fire with the pirates for the duration of the raid. Just today, They had to go through 3 of my planets that I had fortified with starbases and phase destabilizers. By the time they made it to the second planet my OWN forces had all but wiped them out. This is a GREAT Idea and it needs to be implemeted somehow..

You fixed my crashes.. ...but... I have encountered something else. I loaded up a large scenerio, selected TEC. I decided from the on-set to play a long drawn out game. I wanted to play with the Diplomacy items. I was not playing to win but to a draw. I worked till I had a peace treaty with all 7 AI's. Started doing pacts and such. Interesting stuff. I would declare war.. beat them up a bit, then do the crease fire, share vision and trade thing eventually makin

Just noticed something playing a random map. A TEC repair platform can not repair a TEC Envoy ship. You get a "Ability can not target this platform' message. However, a Hoshiko CAN repair the Envoy cruiser.

I have the AMD 7750 BE. It is a quad core phenom with 2 of the cores disabled. You have all the advantages of the newer K10 design for less than half the price. It has to be one of the best dual cores I have ever had. Let me tell you, the reviews do not tell the whole story. This thing is a BEAST. I opted for the AMD 790GX chipset w/ the 750SB. I got lucky and I am able to unlock the 7750 cores and now I have a quad core. Granted, your mileage may vary. For the price, I t

I do not think the anti-structure cruisers are overpowered, I think the defensive systems are toooo weak You would think that something as big and expensive as a starbase would have some sort of CIWS (Close in Weapons System) to shoot down any missles or small craft that are around it. There should be a saturation point where missiles and/or small craft make it through the defense grid and can actually cause some damage. That would mean you have to be SERIOUS if you are going to take
Do you believe you should get support from someone for a product that you didnt buy from that same someone. That doesnt make sense.
Yes, in fact I would. I purchased my computer from someone used. Installed on it was a program called Windows Vista. Yes, I expect Microsoft to provide support. I even have a key plastered right on the side of the case. Nowhere on the case does it say that the liscense can not

This is all TEC related. Phase inhibitors: In SINS 1.12, the phase inhibitors have a stacking effect (700% for 1, 1400% for 2 etc etc). In entrenchment they do not stack. Interface change? The shipyard tabs used to be Frigates, Cruiser, then Capitol ships on the lower right. Now it is Capitol ships, Frigates then Cruisers. Was this an intended change? Easy to adjust yes, but does it change back in multiplaye
