I wanted to ask if anything is going to be done in this upcoming patch to "fix" the way ships move in the game. The issue at hand is already discussed in these threads, https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/374505/page/1/ https://forums.stardock.com/363293

I can't be evil. Not in real life and not in games (unless it's a game in which you have to, like GTA). But if it's an RPG, I find myself restarting every time I make myself follow the mean path. KOTOR and Mass Effect come to mind. Every time I finish a game being good, I do a second run being bad, only to abandon it after insulting/killing a few innocent people.

Is there any other advantage to these new no pirate maps apart from not having to disable pirates in the game's options? Thanks a lot for balancing the game! Keep it up!

Yes, I have tried Hamachi before. The thing is that I ran into some problems and people told me that it was due to Hamachi's IP not being a C class IP. Wippien allows to change the IP to whatever I like.

Does anybody here use or have used Wippien to create a VPN? If so, could you please tell me the steps I need to follow to configure it? With a friend we installed it in two PCs, set two static IP adresses in the same C class network and managed to establish the VPN, but we didn't see each other and the program said that the MTU was 0. We also tried to set an MTU of 1500 but it didn't work. As a test we tried to run a LAN game of BF1942. Any help?

I say you should start learning how to program or to look for a programmer, or maybe convince a friend to learn programming to help you make games! I'd recommend using a powerful language like C or C++ and open source libraries to help you with graphics and sound (SDL is a free and portable library capable of handling images, sound, input, text, networking, threads, etc). And keep the code portable! That way when you have a game you can compile it for Windows/Linux/MacOS easily. Start

I'm not complaining about Impulse. Its download rates are extremely high for me. I only wanted to know if there was an option to install games and their expansions with one click (I assumed that Trinity worked like that, but then realized I was wrong).

Hi all! I'm the proud owner of the original SoaSE and both expansions, but I've been having problems with my HDD resulting in formatting a few times. The thing is that in every new Windows installation I had to download and install the three games, one by one. I was wondering if there is a way to just install the three games at the same time, with just one click, as I assume that it possible for the ones who bought Trinity. Thanks. <

Last time it shut down. It's not the RAM because I ran the test several times and nothing came up. It's not the GPU because it happens at any time. I seriously doubt it is a heating problem as I've been monitoring that. So I have a PSU or HD issue I think. But the disk came up ok in a test I ran (84% health). It's really weird indeed. It's just so random!

I don't think the problem lies in smurfing. I believe the problem is that players don't want to have negative stats on their records. By eliminating all stats (except maybe number of games) people could start having more fun by playing and not caring that much for competition and losses. In another post I think that DirtySanchezz said something about having the possibility to play ranked and not ranked matches, so everyone could be happy. EDIT: check this o

I hope that they at least keep patching Sins until the major problems that the community finds are solved (ie the pathing issue, the useless techs, useless abilities, etc).

HDD says 84% health, which is labelled as "good". I'll run memtest86+ tonight to check for RAM issues (not likely in my opinion). The thing with this problem is that it is very random. I get it like twice a month...

Yeah, I also do that from time to time. The first time I had the problem I vacuum cleaned the whole thing. My normal working temperatures (not gaming) are: CPU - 15ºC/59ºF System - 36ºC/96ºF GPU - 52ºC/125ºF
