um... the idea is that doesnt work, otherwise they'd simply get blown apart with a single shot from a railgun, and they couldnt use their movement based munitions...
Schod
alas it cannot be used as a noun, which you used it as. you're still talking about eating at the busboy :)
is it really possible to eat at a person? it just doesnt seem like the right use of the word...notice I said: in the resturant you are eating at if you want to be picky I left out a comma. so here it is with all corrented grammer for yaDid you know that the busboy, in the resturant you are eating at, is an agent for the ponies? Did you know he has a masters degree in poison darts?
but he still hasnt fixed his participial phrase!
"I hid my planet!" "where???" "under a crushing pillar of hydrogen gas" "..."
this reminded me of this situation... hehehe, oh I do love xkcd.
theres a certain ammount of automatic variation, but its still more or less on the default plane.
everything has infinite verticle range. So... yes, the verticle component is purely 100% cosmetic although... I figure if you want to spike your enemy really hard I guess you can pile on a big verticle column of ships so that you can get all of your guns within range immediately :)
I hope you see the logical issue in your argument now../Snigger, you do realize your addressing Schod, right?
I see the logic, but its tunnelminded. just saying, it a whole lot of other people were bashing me other than the people who are declaring power for themselves... maybe then you would have a point alas, its your wacky idea, of course I expect you to defend it :P
is it really possible to eat at a person? it just doesnt seem like the right use of the word...
OK, how would you rather have this occur -- me just deciding on my own authority which clans look "real" and which clans are just a joke? A) thats a lot of effort on my part, B) I don't think the idea of putting that much "power" in one persons hands is a good idea, even if you happen to think I'm trustworthy enough for it. (Spartan obviously does, but inevitably there are going to be people who disagree with my decisions, and for good reason!)
well theres also the fact you gu
Maybe I should have said complaints? I am not sure. It basically comes down to this - you go on for x amount of time and you have a fleet that should be able to dominate the galaxy and more planets than anyone else. Then suddenly you get hit by 80 ships. No problem, except instead of fighting you, they run right past you to bomb your planets into oblivion and then repeat the process for the next planet. Even though you have maxed out planetary defenses they make no difference whatsoever.
The recognized clans should have one delegate who is tasked to vote on adding new clans. We want to build this community with stable organized groups. Not something that happens on a whim and has no serious support or for ego purposes because someone wants to feel special. Such groups are like a cancer to the community because they weaken us as a whole. Time, energy, and commitment are necessary components for a legitimate clan in my not so humble opinion. Allowing fly-by-night groups the

you *always* collect bounty, regardless of whether or not you own a pirate base. you just have to kill things to earn it (mouse over the planet of an enemy with a bounty on him, it'll give you a value for what killing this planet is worth) great way to make money at some times, especially if the enemy has 25k+ in bounty on him (then the instant after you win the pirate war send in a taskforce to kill a few of his planets for nearly free, its a LOT of money you can earn). <-particularly amazi
hehehe spartan -
spartan I think you've turned GE's figurehead from the classic, overly bloated "we iz a clan" clan to a person who creates a bunch of useless, disjoint and incomprehensible posts. bravo, bravo! *golfclap*
yes, they have incredible damage which is subject to few damage reductions and many damage amplifications, in groups they are capable of wiping out a bunch of enemies very quickly with their 3 broadsides.
Fleet caps are another level of artificial limition set on strategies. More variety is better then less right? (Heck, there are some people who don't even want the current total ship fleet caps in the game. Why would they want more limitations?)
precisely besides, its already easy enough to overcome a shipspammer, the only dissadvantage you're held to is getting a bit more research, and if you can hold in for that he's going to be the one blown out of the water.
tactics matter a lot, you know what matters more? significantly outnumbering your enemy
FYI: In the first paragraph of the 4th bullet of the article, you write: "But it isn't not the driving reason for lost sales." This is a double negative and means it IS the driving reason for lost sales.
actually, one should say that its a triple negative, and is indeed the driving reason for lost sales. ah, I love semantics.
the element goes beyond simply what looks cool or is realistic, its about functionality. microing would be IMPOSSIBLE with this many ships moving more or less sporadically. and trust me, you wouldnt find jiggling the visual much fun either. it would neither look good nor be very fun to try and drag-box while drifting around like you're riding a drunk monkey.
yup its one, although that is more than powerful enough :SURPRISED: (if used correctly)
awesome xD please tell me your making this as part of the mod pathway feature of sins, I would LOVE to have this!
a lot of strategy is currently emergant, basically any imaginable combination of ships designed to do a specific job can do it rather well if your enemy is unprepared. this creates a fundamental underlying theme to sins: understand your enemy and think creatively to counter his defensive setup.
Vasari rock, even if they are a bit slow at first. they are the epitome of "its not how strong it is, but how you use it". they have certain abilities and mobility that the other races simply cant compete with.
