7 good reasons not to pirate from good companies: 1) You want to see non MMO or subscription based PC games in the future 2) You want to see a community grounded in love for video games as opposed to profit and personal greed 3) You hate DRM and don't want to be treated like a criminal for buying a game 4) You support lower prices 5) You want to prevent over-commericialization and in-game advertising 6) You want many free updates

Hi Thoumsin, I do appreciate your support, but I wonder why you just didn't try out our demo? It was a fair representation of our game, unlike many other demos out there. There certainly are others like you who have pirated then bought our game, but it seems highly unlikely they would outweigh those who took the game without paying for it later.

Are you forgetting that Pirate Bay is a multi-million dollar operation with offshore accounts and trust funds? Wouldn't that be nice! Whether you agree with piracy or not, what right does a greedy opportunist like this have to profit off backs of another company's labour, especially indie developers making a fraction of their earnings? Our labour...MY labour is lining their pockets and I can tell you it gives you that dirty feeling o
Where's George Orwell when we need him the most? Read 1984, then decide if telepathic propaganda has any sort of a grasp over global conscience.
An excellent read! Depressing, but an eye-opener. Pirate Bay's own propaganda amuses me. This 'robin hood' savior of the internet front is cute. It a shame many people fail to see they are profit driven entity like everyone else - only they don't produce anything. They only take from the very community

Could be worse true, but it could also be much better. Even in 'open-minded' vancouver we have hate crimes that occured far too frequently.

You will see the funky light tendrils when you have the right ability, but the polygon cost of the shredded stuff was prohibitive, as much as we would have liked seeing that ourselves.

Ironclad has just announced its plans to join the ranks of Pirate Bay and Demonoid. "We felt it would be best to target legitimate and illegitmate customers at the same time," Ironclad's Craig Fraser states. "The lucrative advertising revenues generated on the torrent site should more than make up for our loss in pirated copies of our games, not to mention development costs are very low for the return. Should our pilot project go well, we may shift our full team to th

Yes, we use Photoshop. We use both DXT1 and DXT5 ....usually 5, alpha will be your decided factor. Don't bother with DXT3, file size should be the same, but the quality worse for most applications. TGA's will be signficantly larger, so DDS anything that can pass the quality test. Here is the plug-in for you: http://developer.nvidia.com/object/photoshop_dds_plugins.html Best of luck

Are you sure you are talking about the right game? It's bad enough taking abuse when its true, but even harder when its not. It seems ironic that you keep 50 games on your shelf, probably the majority of them featuring some form of DRM, yet you pick out SINS, a DRM-free game to give away. Where does this misinformation come from?

Sorry that didnt work out for you Carbon. The particle effect system supports animated textures. Bascially you will need to align each frame of your animation in rows in one dds or tga file. A separate animation text file define the coordinates of each frame, the number of rows and so on. Many of the particle effects in the game use framed animations.
stop buying any games at all
This is surest way to drive independant developers, like Ironclad, out of business. Are you sure this is what you want?
