I've noticed they don't seem to work when there is a planet without a phase stab in between the two with it. For example you have planet A with phase stab, planet B without and planet C With. If planet B is directly on the line in between A and C your fleet will just jump to C instead. Maybe it assumes this is the fastest route but this isn't always true (in my case planet B then linked to a Star which then linked to A so going this way took a lot longer than jumping straight from C to A :() Di

How about Sims of a Solar Battlecruiser 30K. Extremely realistic game where you have to take care of your capital ship crew in a poorly designed eliteist game moduel that goes on at the same time you are suposed to be piloting your ship and commanding ground forces in a horrible FPS moduel that is less fun to play than Wolf 3d and 50 times harder! I save a lot of money by just using two capital ships. I've gone to get 5 or 6 planets in my empire with full trade depots ect with just 2 capital ships and nothing else. If you use them right the only thing that can stop you is a pirate planet or the enemy fleet. All the while I've not upgraded my fleet at all so I'm getting full income from my planets with no fleet over head. It's worked very well for me so far.

I wasn't comparing DoW to Sins as far as gameplay or content goes. Just release strategy for expansion pack. It has worked well for DoW (as I've gotten every expansion and I know a lot of other people have too) and it may very well work for Sins. They certainly could have released 9 races with their own campaigns when the game first came out but to do so would be a waste of time and money (since they could just release 4 at first then the others over the course of several expansion packs. I'd like to see something like orbital ships that can only fly in the gravity well they were created in (they would take up tactical slots since they are supported by the planet like a hanger bay would) These could be like your own personal little police force for each planet or national guard what have you. It would provide a more mobile system of defence (but still wouldn't stand up to a full fleet. A planet with only defences shouldn't be able to any how)

I hope this isn't a new trend with games. Release the first half of the game then the second half of the game as an expansion. Could you imagine getting WC3 and having only orcs and humans and only skirmish mode and only play then they release an expansion with undead and campaign for undead human and orc then another expansion with night elves and their campaign ect so forth and so on. I normally go two capital ships right off the bat and I've found that two capital ships are more than a match for even a Terran planets militia if you use them right. If all you do is kill the siege ships like CMK mentioned above you could even move on to the next planet and the next just doing that until you've got a lot of planets. :P

How many times has the Enterprise been so messed up it can't jump to warp? "I CAN'T DO IT CAPTAIN, I DON'T HAVE THE POWER!" IT happens like every episode and every movie they're engines are so heavily damaged they can't run so Kirk has to make up some sexy way to win any ways. IT creates tension, though I don't think it would in a game like this unless you where playing with /just/ capital ships.

Now there is a mod I could actually force myself into doing :P I'm not saying my voice acting is any better than Starscreen or anything but it might be less annoying lol. I once did a little bit of voice acting for a mod to Rome: Total war that changed it over to LOTR. Aparently I sound a lot like a Horse Lord :P Also can do really good voice acting for orks. Would it be this simple to redo the voice acting for one of the races? Just record a wav file, convert it to .oog and simply change the file name to over write the existing file (instead of creating a new one and fooling around with the .entiy files ect)

Its been said but I'd like to see diffrent Fleet Adrmirals or commanders that have their own Flagship. You can only have 1 and they each have diffrent abilities (One is good at combat, one is good at econ, one is good at culture) And have these grand hero units be really customizabl so that when they reach the highest level they can only pick about 1/4 of their possible abilities (Thus your level 10 hero could be totally diffrent from my level 10 hero of the same race and type) Kind of like the
