There's some conflicting information. The caravan itself only shows a food bonus. But the city info for a city with a caravan route just shows a bonus, which sounds like it's for all production. One thing is certain though: The longer the route between the cities, the bigger the bonus (whatever that's boosting :P)
- Make it so gildar/arcane/tech producing NPCs only produce when they are stationed in a town. (Perhaps gildar NPC in a town with a market, arcane with a laboratory, tech with a study?).
How about a bonus when stationed, instead? Some of these have good stats to be viable combat troops.. Ideally, there would be combat and non-combat NPCs you could hire, but at the moment all the heroes are combat, so I'd much rather encourage the player to leave them in tow
Why do people make these long drawn out walls of text? If I were a dev I certainly wouldn't read that mess.
And that's why you'll never be a dev.
I'm pretty sure pioneers take materials, not iron. You should always be able to build an improvement in your city (for no material cost) that generates 1/turn. Old Growth Forests can be built in to make 4/turn.
Yeah, but the manual was written a good deal of time before the decision to hold off on custom servers until after launch.
Just build a caravan, and move it to another town. Once it reaches the town it'll create a route (and a road). The cities' zone of influence expands when they level up, and I think a bit from Prestige. Since it is "x tiles from city border", you can inch it to a resource or something by expanding the city in that direction.
Yeah, that's why I put subtracted in quotes. I think what it's doing is just subtracting the value without looking at any food sources you do capture when you gain control of the cities. Curious - what does it show for food in your kingdom report?
The Summoning spellbook was removed from being available for custom Sovereign creation :P Probably out there somewhere to be found or researched.
I'm not sure. Last time I tried (was in beta, granted), the mount would just show up as an equippable thing on the unit design screen somewhere.
1) when you que up a spell to learn is there a way to tell how many turns it will take? Qued up a spell to learn and it took a long time, at one point i wasn't even sure it was working but then a few turns later it showed up as learned. Apparently working but can't tell the progress.
There's a bar for spell research progress just on the other side of the screen from the tech progress bar. It fills in red, and lists how many turns are left to finish researching the spell
Wholeheartedly agreed :) HP values need better scaling to keep up with quickly growing attack and defense.
Really though, it's an issue with any single-target spell that's cast on a stack. I think it just automatically casts it on the "next" unit, after the Sovereign, since it doesn't know how to deal with an army.
After conquering many cities and defeating the enemy Sovereign, I'm now operating at -35 food. Not sure how this happened, and the -35 number doesn't affect my overall total of food (it's stuck in the HUD.)
Since each housing improvement takes food, it sounds like since you just captured a bunnch of cities it "subtracted" the food cost of those houses from your total. Frogboy's planning on taking a considerable amout of time off from CEO-ing duties to work on the AI (and couple other things) soon.
At the moment you have to wait for the dedicated MP servers to be activated. There's no offline LAN option.
Do you have a ship on auto-explore? I'm pretty sure I've seen threads that point it out as an issue that can use stuck turns.
I think ship exploring is a little wonky.. in some cases it's been giving stuck turns. Does it happen still if you do the same thing but having a land unit explore instead of a ship?
I'm assuming your suggestion is after looking at the Kingdom Report window? What would you like to see that it doesn't show?
You're allowed to complain, not to turn every thread into a flamefest. There are plenty of existing threads for you to continue. Leave issue reports as issue reports.
MagicWeasel, might I suggest that you pool your time with Icecrown (I noticed you posted in his thread) to make an awesome effects mod? Two of you can get it done faster than one, and both of your stuff looks good. Why have competition when it can be faster and probably better with combined efforts :D Also, hi Ziff! Long time :P
1. Sadly, no :( Wisdom doesn't shower anywhere after the game starts. 2. I don't believe so. You can try hovering over the portrait of the unit on the bottom, since that has an hp and mana bar. But it's just 1hp/turn in friendly territory and I believe 5 or so in a town, and 1 mana/turn anywhere - without equipment. 3. Not sure, is it a quest reward or something? 4. It's random. In my current game I found 4 stones but only one of the quests. 5. What level is that quest? I
Do you have the tactical battle threshold set to 0 in the game options?
I haven't, but given the 2-3 day estimate on priority shipping from USPS, either today or tomorrow hopefully :)
That's odd, I was playing just last night and could build Sions normally after constructing the improvement.
Wonderful, another problem with the game.
How about you leave this kind of commentary to yourself and not attempt to derail another thread into a flamefest? Leave the people to report their issues in peace so the SD guys who have to dig through them don't get berated in each one.
