adecoy95
I've tried it a few times today vs. 5 teamed hard ai opponents on Gateway. Cant colonize fast enough. there's just not enough money to get 3 civic labs up and also 3 mil labs then a sb before the ai invades Xi. I managed to get a sb on the star, but the ai just bypassed that and started demolishing planets. Easy? I dont think so. Perhaps you havent done it since the ai was improved in entrenchment?&nb
at the very least they could bring in a new difficulty setting, something with even more cheatage for the ai at the most, i would like to see allied ai work together, they seem to have a system set up for making the ai decide when to jump into a system or not, when to flee when to stand, why not make them decide based on their friends nearby too?
Quoting adecoy95, reply 9i tryed the 9 ai, i even locked them in all the same team against me, dident really change anything, just more ships sitting around not attacking, slowing my pc Hi. If you're up for just a little modding, change the "playerAIsharedDef" in the "Gameplay.constants" file. Using the agressive template as an example: table-Aggressive
is it possible to modify the ai at all in this game?
No, the AI does not suck. Compared to other RTS it uses a lot more clever techniques. After you've been playing some time you will be able to beat the AI no problem because you have worked out some niches in it's armour and how and where it is likely to attack, tell me an RTS AI that isn't like that? You can then just stack the teams a little to make it challenging. You and an AI vs 3 AI for example and ramp it up,
oh ordian, oh ordian, where art thou ordian!
i just really hope it will be moddable, there are alot of talented people in the modding section that can probably do good things with the ai.

the ai is pretty bad, they should make the ai moddable in the next patch or expansion usually in my games i fortify alot, and wait to have a large surplus of income before building anything of a fleet, relying on fortifications... unfortunatly, the ai are scared to death of anything more than 10 beam platforms, and will sit there with 7 other ai just outside of your territory forever.... by the time you send a fleet out to lay waste all they do is flee </p
was kindof hoping to see some ai improvements in this patch
Okay, I don't mean to beat a dead, very irritating horse but something caugfht my eye that worries me. I have 1.16 (Don't shoot me....yet), and the OP says that 2.5 will be available for entrenchment. indeed, some who have previously posted have said that the enxt release (assuming it is 2.5) will be entrenchment only. Now, as one who only has vanilla 1.16 and is far too poor to upgrade, I must voic
Yeah, sorry about sounding like an ass. I felt the need to remind people just how much effort we've put into supporting Sins and forgot that not everyone knows our history and wouldn't have known. It was a fair question for them to ask "where is the support!?!" As in the past, all the actual news appears on the front page and upcoming news appears in the Sins General "pinned" section (the block at the top). This preven
any updates? ive never tryed this mod before but it looks cool, cant wait to try it
Quoting soasertsus, reply 22Hey, did you fix the Khor-Ah? When I say fix I mean that they were a little broken in 2.1, noting major but they still just didnt feel right. And do the icons for all the ships now have the correct picture for their corrosponding ship? Same with researchs? No, not yet. They never have been "complete" per say. Icons and stuff takes time, and I haven't been sweating the small stuff that
was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to make the ai tougher opponents
So there isnt an Entrenchment Compatible version?
nnnnaaaaaugh aaaaaaaugh nnnnauugh!!!!!!
the ai seem to not reasearch the new techs, i was wondering if that was able to be fixed, i tryed very hard reasearchers and they still dident seem to reasearch anything
cool stuffs so is 2.5 going to have new stuff in it or is it still going to just be a conversion to entrenchment?
Quoting XselenS, reply 1Sounds awesome, but can't you just add those new races as additional race? Why do you have to replace the original races? Maybe it's cuz of hard-coded limits or something but anyways really nice update! Yeah, i dont like the sound of replacing races in a non total conversion mod. Danman stated at one point that he wanted to have the best factions from sci - fi in general and then pit them against
well the subjugator costs only a few fleet points, so you can have more of them than any other cruisers
