i have noticed that on my 3gb ram laptop... the game never even gets close to that amount of ram used, it only ever gets up to about 50% physical memory, with the game using around 600-700... on my xp computer it uses a full blown 1400 memory or more... whats going on?? my computer is xp and the laptop is vista, could that be why? something i can do to fix this?

how do ews strike crafts compaire to bombers?
im experienceing this problem on a much smaller scale... i have a compaq presario cq50 laptop with an 8200M video card and 3g ram vista 32 bit that will just start slowing down majorly after a long period of time, even tho the game is only using 698kb of memory, and in total im only using 50% of my physical memory, and 50% of my cpu. im experiencing this problem in maps as small as sytems of war, and thats unacceptable, i find it very hard to beleve that i can play a ga

seems like alot of work for one ship, whats the harm of putting it in a little bit bigger than the other ships, or the same size? heck even the avatar is the same size as the other ships
ships in sins are bigger than 20 miles xD look at the size of them compaired to planets and stuff
2.5 is only going to be a conversion over from vanilla to entrenchment, so your not missing out on anything, yet ;)
will any of the races have custom starbases in 2.5? or will it be mainly focusing on converting, saving the additions for a later date?

if they are going to modify the atlantians reasearch (to make it take longer), could perhaps thier shield mitigation be lowered to 70-80% under fire and just give them extra shield points instead of 119% mitigation (immunity)? oh and is there a way to make the artifact that lowers reasearch cost by 50% have a different effect when combined with the atlantians reasearch to lower cost by 90%?, example... instead of it going from 90% lower cost to 140% lower cost, it would

what would the empire do to defeat the atlantians? the way they are right now i would doubt an entire fleet could kill a cap ship
i know the atlantians are supposed to be more powerful than the other factions, but this is just silly, they have 109% shield mitigation, they fill out their tech tree in about 15 min, they deal a wopping 500-700 damage per laser, and they are not skimpy on the number of lasers.. every single one of their weapons bypasses shields completely couldent they be more powerful than the other factions by a smaller margin? or at least make the other factions capable of destorying an atlant
