i dont play strategy games online because it is such a waste of time when you loose miserably with first person shooters, and, well, every other game i can think of, when you loose its only a little while till you can get right back into the fight and try again... strategy games are just crap for mp

thanks for the reply, however, the thing is that once we are not longer connected for lan, the speed of the computer increases by a very noticable amount, but while connected, the speed is very very slow for the vista laptop. how much does the size of the map affect gameplay speed compaired to fleet size?
nobody knows why? some more info, my laptop has vista on it and my computer (xp) is the host
im having an unusual problem, when me and my friend play lan together, his computer runs really slowly, at first i thought it was just because it was a laptop he was playing on and that its just slow, but then today i dissconnected from the game, instantly and to me and his suprise, his game sped up dramatically, is there something i can do to make the game speed up while we lan?

i liked halo more than most fps games, most fps like call of duty and crysis has good numbers of weapons, that do the same thing, the weapons in halo are all different in the way they kill the enemys at least in one way or another (and in a bigger way than ammo or look)

any change of adding a feature so that we can turn on more than one mod, so we dont have to use packs like 7 sins, not that its a bad pack, but packs never have everything you might want in them for one reason or another
for some reasone stabalize phase space on the atlantians is not working right, as i understand stabalize phase space, if i use it on one planet body and another, no matter how far away, i can jump between them as if they were neibors, but for some reason, its not always working, and i dont know why EDIT: i have also tryed without the one making the phase stabalizer, but the wierd thing is that sometimes, i can jump the one making the node as well

its already pretty strong without the colony ship. i would gladly give up the colony ship if the reasearch techs worked for the captured ships (the weapon techs that is, the shield and armor ones work already)
