I think once the AI gets good at the game you will have much more to worry about than watching individual battles. My advice is try playing against several AIs teamed up against you.
Stratteggi
In my last game, I was down to one enemy, so I put a 600k bounty on his head, just to keep the pirates off of me. I then scuttled every ship I had, and built the maximum number of Arcovas I could (it was 747).
Logistics structures are more civilian oriented. You have regular people from the planet commuting up to work on these things. That's why you can't build them around dead asteroids, no civilian population for a workforce. The tactical structures are all military oriented, in which case all of the personnel are stationed there, and since they are military, can be moved long distances from their homes.
Easy is the "stockpile credits" mode
well the vasari could bring some of the other species with them. like each species have there own ships so the frigate section could have a different race for each frigate. but scince there were all apart of the same empire, you would have to change ship design just mention the species of the ship info card...when you make them <img id="ImageResize_Image_1" onload="ImageResizer.createOn(this);" src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smi
I don't think the Vasari in the game will consist of many races. In their history they said they assimilated races, but mostly left them on their own planets. Since the only Vasari left are part of the Dark Fleet, I think it's mostly, if not completely, the Vasari race.
What time did you get it? I've got a friend who got the game just before 1:00pm yesterday.
Hmm, what if it's changed in such a way that you have to click in the text window to get it in focus. Similar to how Windows works. Without clicking in the text window, the mouse wheel would ignore the scrolling. But if you do click anywhere within the text box, it gains focus and the mouse wheel functions as a scroll function there. This would be even worse than the problem we have now. It's more important to be able to select something through
I lost one of my worlds, and since I immediately lost vision of it, it still showed up as owned by me (as in owned by Stratteggi; last observed 700 seconds ago). Also, ships need to stop prioritizing siege ships when at an enemy world. I was attacking an enemy, and my ships wanted to kill the Pirate Pillagers above all else, even though they were doing my job for me.
Another thing, the info card for culture of a planet is broken. It always says "Culture generated 0.0/sec" even if I have 2-3 towers. It's not broken, the values are just really, really small. If you get a lot of culture centers you can get it up to 0.1 or 0.2.
multiplayer
Some of the coolest space combat scenes I have seen (in game and in movie) has been when two battleships get broadside to each other, and fire a full-on barrage. The site of so many missles slamming into each ship, complete with smoke trails and debris chunking off the battleship to float off lazily into space really made you FEEL the power of these monsterous combat ships! I definitely would like to see that - a little spark of the old naval warfa
We should be able to fly a ship into the sun, as a sacrifice to the anti-matter gods. Space-Aztecs
Yes... I also wonder...
I attacked an enemy planet with two control group fleets, numbered 1 and 2. The battle went well, and I now have both my fleets around the planet. Since I couldn't conquer it right away, because of culture, I planned to leave fleet 2 to defend it, while fleet 1 continues conquering. I expanded the empire tree panel for fleet 2, and noticed that it said it only had a Sova Carrier and two flak frigates. The pips were still there for the rest of the fleet, and hovering my mouse over it said the res
Now, any ideas of how to automatically get the bombers to land after each shot?
The beams cannot target something outside of a very narrow arc in front of them. The problem is that the beams attach themselves to the target, so for as long as the beams are firing, they will track the target, even if it means the beams will go through the Kol (I have another screeny of that happening).
I really don't think the Vasari equate to the zerg. Vasari are all about very expensive, but very few ships. I think the closest to the zerg, strategy wise, would be the TEC, they've got the cheapy ships.
also, Marauders spawn at the star, if there are pirates spawning at your planets, then it's because someone else researched insurgency.
I made a mod where the bombers fired nukes. What did you use for a graphic? The planet bombing graphic.
I think that the bounty system needs to be explained a bit more. Does the amount in the dialog decrease as it is claimed or is it a tally of the total bounty that has been put against a player? How much is each kill worth? Is it a set amount or a percentage of the total bounty? Does killing more powerful ships result in a higher bounty claimed or is every ship worth the same amount. Does destroying structures get you any of the bounty? Per
I like the look of the Kol, it reflects the Trader mindset: 'Right, we're in our first war for a millenium. NOW WHAT THE HELL DO WE DO???' Hahaha, love it.
holy crap, you can make the bomer as strong as a dreadnaught. haha... i hope they have a comon sense of limits so to speak. i mean like we know that a fighter or bomber can't yield a greater weapons bay than a frigate so in a sense they only can be upgraded depending on what you can fit on that fighter. I made a mod where the bombers fired nukes. Combine that with a carrier with 20 slots, and you get
It's a movie, it has real production companies, and I saw this in the theater.
8. Thinner beam effect for beam weapons. Might want to change the color to blue or green, as red doesn't look as...pretty. Also make the KOL fire its beams so they hit anywhere on the target, and not always all 4 beams focused on the same spot. They aren't supposed to look pretty, it's the TEC, it's supposed to look like the bare minimum that can still fight. Besides, I've seen Advent ships with blue beams.
