I wish these posts had anything to do with my original post. :(
So a few days ago I played online. It was 3v3. I know I have to play MP to get better so I did. I chose (and was the only one) to play the Advent Loyalists. I know: they are the weakest. So I started to expand and sent out SEVERAL scouts. But I left a hole open just to the right of my HW. BIG mistake! I went left!!! A player named 3Legs (the enemy) found that world ("hole") early on and went to colonize it. I panicked. I
I want to play MP with some guys. I have played maybe 4 or 5 games onlide. I am pretty mediocre. I work BEST when I am in a support role . . . (actually that is me generally). I am so jealous of you guys that know all of the ship moves and effects and no how to go in "where angels fear to tread." But I cannot think fast enough, and the zillion variables in Sins throws me off. For example, to auto-cast or not auto-cast?? I have seen the really go
this is not an unfair exploit. why? Because everyone can use it. I am impressed how you guys even discovered someone using this exploit. Then again, I am a newb. But I did want to ask 2Face, is English not your 1st language? If, say, French or Russian is your first language then I am totally impressed with how well you speak English.
1) pirates steal vasari tech. phase jump to any system and attack. 2) a race takes the finest of all the races and warps in to invade a system. 3) a galatic disease threatens everyone. 4) a galactic occurence has afftected only one race and claims to make that race invinsible in a short while (whether they are allies or not).
I need only one thing: random events!!!!! even going so far as a previously defeated ai players coming back into the game by forging a new alliance. or something like that.
I am not as proficient a player as most here, but if I may suggest one thing: pin the planets by order of attack level. I mean, say the AI is attacking 3 of my planets. Say I have 12 planets. I want to see only those 3 on my left and preferrably ranked in terms of enemy attack strength. I don't want to see planets on the left that have a single ship "visiting" or "scouting" it. And lately I have noticed what may be a bug. When I am zommed on a planet an
lol. yeah. I mentioned this long ago (about the interface). you know, I forgot about the option to hide phase jumping ships. I am gonna try that. thanks! no one had anything to say about the Coronata though?? ;) lol
I am one of the few who has played SOASE since it was beta long ago. I come from the Galactic Civilization days. I really do like Sins. It's the only game I play. Still, I wish for some improvements and I'd not to mention a few things that are seldom said here. The interface, though in theory fine, is still clunky and bothersome. It is difficult to manage a battle going on on two different worlds. If everything is tabbed, ok, you get some al
So I have the most recent patch. Playing as AL. My only other enemy is a AR in a 3 star galaxy. I am infiltrating his star as I have the other 2. I tried to establish a planet in his star system as a beach head. I built a deliverance engine because he was using them to turn my planets. I figured "hey, shoot myself with my own deliverance engine." Well, I believe it treated my OWNED planet as an enemy planet and dropped the loyalty. Has anyone se
I never research Coward's submission unless they make it so that it doesn't count against fleet capacity otherwise I end up not being able to find these "new" ships and frequently don't want what I just got!
I have played MP and want to do so again, but the game is so daunting as it is that I feel I would like to specialize in one race. I have always played the Advent, but with rebellion I need to pick which one. I have decided to perfect Loyalists practising on vicious. That said, can a team member be any help if they play AL?? And if so, how important do pacts become?
Well, I am new to the multiplayer game. I have now played 3 or 4. My very first one was 1 v 1. He beat me but was very cool in telling me what I did wrong. The next game was addressed in here where my crazy stripper girlfriend came home and stared acting crazy. I broke up with her, but in that game I left my team hanging, though they won. Ekko-Tech was one of them. What was nice about that game was that we had captains, and everyone talked to eachot
I have now played two games online. To be honest, there is nothing like it. It makes playing the computer AI feel like a silly tutorial. I can't recall all of the players on the last game but two: Bolt & ekko-tek (or something). I had to quit about 1 hour into it and I am truly sorry. It is not how I like to play, but my stripper GF came back and there is always so much drama in her life . . . . I need to dump her! so, I have some very basic obser
yep, that's what it was. stupid me!!!!!! well, hopefully it will stop working on allies.
So I am playing Advent Loyalists. It's late game. I have all of the techs researched except the pacts. There is only one race that I have any relations with and it is just trade and cease fire. Anyway, I noticed that while I was playing the fleet logistics cap would move wildly when I wasn't building ships or had any qeued. I like to keep 10 fleet point open in case I need to build a starbase somewhere. What I discovered was that somehow ships were
It has probably been said before, but I would love mega events like in the Dread Lord series. Of course like pirates, it could be toggled off. I think its real place is in SP mode. When I play the computer, I want a better AI, but I don't like the idea that it gets buffed if I choose a harder AI, therefore I play random AI's. Mega events are game changers for all. Usually I am beating the computer pretty bad (against real people I get my
also, weirdness with neutrals. I have researched the tech to make all neutrals friendly to me. But after I have taken their system and they are still there, they don't do anything. I have also gone into enemy planets and seen the neutrals there, but they also don't do anything. Perhaps the other faction has also researched neutrals. I don't know. seems kinda weird.
I THINK scuttled ships replenish too.
As an early research this is fun. I wanted to test it. But there is an issue. You see, it replenishes. But it takes away from fleets you are trying to build. And where it puts them is, seemingly, random. It gives me pillagers and I don't need those for defense. Maybe there can be a toggle button for them OR you can spec what type of pirates you want: defense/offense. I que up ships that I want to be built, but they can't be made because
step one: check step two: check (even higher like to 9) giving gold, metal & crystal step three is the issue. I see those types of missions to offer EXCEPT "send envoy"
I bribe the heck out of them and got them to 9!! but no go.
well, I couldn't get the cease fire even with 7 or higher (maybe even 9)! I had a trade pact and gave them lots of stuff, and did their missions and put an envoy in their system, which they were want to attack! I researched everything that would take away different faction penalties. Maybe that only works for other "races". who knows? they didn't like me, but I "liked" them.
I usually play Advent so I don't know the TEC too well, but I have researched much of the Diplomacy tree and I cannot find what I need to research to get another faction to send me an envoy. the only missions I can give them are "give me this" or "go kill that." ??? I can't get a cease fire.
