Bounty is not only for pirates, but it is also for enemies of the computer (players, small groups protecting neutral planets i think) and if the computer is fighting any of these guys it is probably getting some ships blown up and they are recieving the bounty you put on them.

I have seen something that sort of similar to this. This is usually happening late into the game and I never actually see it, but I see the result you can say. I tell my whole fleet to jump together to the next planet, they are all together and they jump, once they are in the other gravity well, a few of them are shot to the other side...lets say I came into the right side of the well, they came from the same direction but as though from the left side...it happens a few times, har
I'm a beginner at SOSE. I like the game but the learning curve is a bit steep. 1) How do you get your first Capital Ship. It seems that the option to build one is always greyed out. 2) Once you destroy all of a planets defences, how to you colonise the planet? Which ship does that? Thanks, I know there are very basic questions but I'm new to the game...
<
What does Channeling ability mean? I am sort of thinking it means that the ship has to keep doing it for it to be working instead of just activating and then leaving, is this true? Also, I noticed using the Akkan and Progenitor to colonize that their special abilities take some time to take effect...the extractors and cost reduction...if I clicked to build the extracts/upgrades will the ability take effect and give me back my money or did I just lose it? If
So, i decided to play advent since I hadn't for a long time and when I used Reverie, it did what it was suppose to but then when I tried to get my fleet to attack that ship, they refused/ignored the order. Why is this? I thought you could attack them but it would break the trance, so you can't attack them at all?? This seems wrong since it says they'll be shaken out of enough damage is dealt to them.
mods don't work on 1.09 versions dude, u need 1.05
Damn...but 1.09 is so damn good....
Myabe I am doing it wrong, but I put it in the mod folder and tried to run it, but i notice no difference...I am running 1.09.
So far, I've had a few games online with 1.09, each time I've played those games something weird happened, each time I played, the first couple of minutes the game goes extremely fast. I set up a game and had all the settings on fast but I've played with those same settings on single and it never starts out like that. It doesn't last too long, maybe first 10 minutes you are going so fast that its hard to keep up and then a it suddenly goes back to normal. Anyone else had this?
Maybe they were rebels? Just wondering if it might be something else.
It sounds like someone was already beating on the person you were putting money on. Remember, the money isn't JUST for pirates, its for anyone who attacks that player, so as long as someone is destroying ships/structures, they can earn parts of the bounty.
Hmm, I think it needs an upgrade to get more BUT you cannot upgrade more, so you cannot add more to that planet. I think the wording is weird, but you have reached your limit and if you could upgrade, you would be able to add more, but you can't, so you won't.
I rarely group more than one fleet...I remember I recently did but only because I had a cap and back up on the way so I treated as another fleet because it had to go past enemy lines to be able to support, so thats about it. I have wanted to make separate groups, but it does seem like it would be way too much work so what I usually do is make everyone attack and manage the caps and make sure to have a fleet overview by hovering over the fleet icon so I know whats going on as a whole and
EXACT CODE FROM 1.05 decayWithoutOwnerRate 0.010000It dies at a rate of 1% per second.

Happens to other races as well. I killed off a TEC carrier today and watched his fighters die off. Your cap ship doesn't get experience for the die-off, however.
I would expect it to happen to TEC and Vasari (BECAUSE THEY ARE MANNED)but it SHOULDN'T happen with Advent. The fighters/bombers should just be dead in space once the host dies since the people contro
I have been playing for a bit and something I have been after lately is more control over how the fleet is formed and moves and such. What I mean is, placing where some ships goes, maybe I want a certain kind of ship infront instead of in the back or maybe I want a the whole fleet to engage together instead of the kodiaks rushing in first, or maybe I rather have a capital ship firing forward instead of turning to it side so that the side guns can fire at multiple enemies instead of just on
I don't want to start lots of threads, so I'll put the two things in here. Firstly, in the game, I noticed that the Dunov picture is backwards, which is a bit annoying. The picture I am talking about is when you zoom out and can't see the ship anymore, its replaced by a picture of what the ship looks in whatever empire color you have. I am pretty sure its only for this one, but I can be wrong. Secondly, I was playing today and I am starting to feel that the Dunvo (maybe
Yeah, I tried this, it is totally powerful, so powerful, i am actually wondering if it it suppose to be that strong...? If it is, then that is the top ship because of that ability, i used it to cut a fleets health in half...amazing!
So, the manual says that the Drone host has unmanned strike craft, they are being piloted remotely from the Drone host. My question is, if the drone host is destroyed, do the strike craft stop working right then and there? Now, I haven't tested or tried it in game because I just fight and don't notice it, but my gut feeling tells me that they don't get destroyed. If they don't, shouldn't they...or at least stop moving and firing?
I'm Always Either Vasari or Advent But when ever i attack people that play tec they kinda suck and the tec ships really suck. My Vasari or Advent fleet always seem to role right over these tec players with minimal loses. I really think the Tec ships need to be buffed up a bit.
I was playing the 1.09 as tec (don't remember if it was like this before) but I so kicked ass as tec against vasari on one side and advent on the other (felt like the i was living the story). Now,
