What OS's do you have?

Hey Nirvana.. thanks for the report - there is something strange going on with the tutorials it seems. You can try reloading it, but if that fails the manual pdf will be in your Sins directory.
Yah, sorry. That problem sounds like it falls into the category of WTF. If you have deleted all the old stuff and reinstalled SDCentral, there's absolutely no reason why it should hang, let alone on a particular file. I'd say double check that you've really removed everything, but I suspect you've already done that.
If you go into Stardock Central and click on the game, there is an uninstall button in the bottom right corner.
Whoot!
We were going to have a feature that allowed you to play without actually taking up any time in the real-world, but it got axed cos it would have taken too long to implement. Hope you guys like the game anyway tho. ;)
No, but rebooting is always the best solution to errors that make absolutely no sense.
All star systems are automatically connected. Also, as an aside... holding down control will allow you to add phase lanes easier than right clicking.
What OS? I assume you rebooted too.
The manual .pdf file should be in your Sins directory. The tech tree poster is a Collectors Edition extra which will be available for download soon if you have the CE.
Shouldn't be. Try just going into the game and going to the online multiplayer section (ICO). If you have problems connecting have a look at #6 in this list https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/?forumid=402&aid=174664#1440253
Hey KilsonX, 1. Through scripting can I take the players units and move them to a new map? 1b. Can the status of the first map be saved and reloaded by the script? 2b. If so how many sub maps would be possible? At the moment, there is no in-game scripting in the way you are thinking about. It may well be added in a content update later though. 2. Can phase lines be turned on and off through scripts? (See above) You can make a fully connected map, whic
You can download it again as many times as you want.
No. Monthly. Fee. :)
Hey Raymundus, Large scale random events like the ones you are speaking of are on the list of goodies which will likely be added later, in a content update or expansion. If you have any other good ideas for different types of events, suggest away!
Spartan: Do you have adblock on by any chance? It was blocking the .gifs for me.
Netriak: Agreed, looking into it. Thanks for figuring that out, it's been bugging me for ages why the ctrl-# is flaky.
Nice work Aldarian! How did you get those ships to move so fast at the 2:50 mark???
Unfortunately packaging up a patch and deploying it would take more time than we have to spare right now :S
The reason seems pretty clear from the error message: "The app requests more than one back buffer, this can't be supported properly. Please configure the application to use double buffering(=1 back buffer) if possible" However, you can confirm that it's not the sound by going into your user.setting file and setting all the sound volumes down to 0.0. No sounds should play apart from the movies (which you can also skip by setting ShowIntroMovies to FALSE).
Winamp plays oggs by default, along with some other players.
it's actually the user.setting file, look for AutoStrafeAreaSize
You'll hear their music when their ships are pounding your planet to dust Unlikely you'll hear it before release, sorry. There's a hint of it in the game opening music...
I'd suggest not doing any mass-production work on the files before the final release as they are likely to change.
