The only link that I can see that might be what you're referring to DANMAN is the CUSTOM loading screens one - there is no mention of any links to fix known bugs. Is this the one you are referring to? By the way, this problem is occuring with the 7 Deadly Sins mod for me as well. If there is a fix available, why isn't it included in 7 Deadly Sins as standard?
Did you even READ my post!? You tried the loading screens and it didn't fix it? Well, I didn't

The loading screen is a known bug, try d/l'ing the ones above you first post, I'm shocked that you missed them. The other bugs are things I can't pinpoint because, IC and SD in their infinite wisdom have made it as hard as possible to locate bugs. The log, error reports and minidumps are all pretty useless. I've found a couple, and fixed, a few bugs that the log report picked up, but none were game crashing bugs. This is one of the many reasons I'm not doing this any more, mo
Just thought I'd pop in to say: kanechart, what? Did you even read the posts?
As far as I am concerned Stardock and Ironclad should buy your mods
Who the hell said that we should be paid by the customers? To everyone else, thanks for the comments and feedback, good to see it was appreciated by so many. I have a little 'extra content' for you all too. I made some custom loading screens for Sins Plus just before I retired, and I remembered them this morning, so here they are
Thank you all for the Goodbyes, etc. The links are now fixed, this forum doesn't like you using links to other threads on this site, it seems to remove most of the address and replace it with a shortcut reference that doesn't work when you edit your post after the link is put in. Weird. I'll be around, and like I say, any questions, I'll do my best to answer, either post them here, or PM me. Cheers for all your ongoing support, Uzii
Thank you all for your responses and positive comments. I have added a small piece of news to the First Post. Some of you will be sad, angry, and some not bothered. Peace, Uzii
Thanks for all the comments, and the white star looks very nice Uranium. I will look into the Graveyards problem when I can, and hopefully get it fixed in 1.4.
bandw2, just temporarily replace my planet textures and test them that way. Darium, thank you for the screenshots and explanation, this time though, I knew about this error :P But thanks anyway.
Just a quick post to say thank you for all your support and use of common sense. All of the questions raised have been answered by others, so there isn't much for me to say. I am now roughly piecing together the ideas and notes for 1.4, so work should start on it within the next few days. An ETA on the release is very inaccurate, but expect it to be between 3 and 6 weeks, roughly.
Thank you Uranium, I've replied to your PM, and checked the file, looks ok, so I'll post it here for anyone who wants it. I don't think this will fix the crashes, but it will put in the gameplay changes: [link="http://files.filefront.com/Sins+Plus+104+Patchrar/;9997180;/fileinfo.html"]Filefront.com[/link] Those ideas are quite nice bandw2, I'll think about them. I've got my list for 1.4, whether I'll actually start/finish it is another matter. Edit:
don't be a j
Fuck it then. It's not 1.04 compatible, apparently. It works ok on mine, I just get asked to skip a few errors because I've turned on the ShowErrors in the user.settings. I might update it, I might not, at the moment I really can't be bothered. I'm not in the mood for all this shit, if it doesn't work, then it doesn't work. Use your common sense, something that most people seem to lack nowadays in general. We're no closer to getting the Final Tools, I have a growing feeling that they wo
Yes. It does. 1.3 is just the version number, same as Sins 1.04. They are not related to each other, its just coincidence.
Uzzi where do you see the 1.04 reference data in the DL section? Dont see it.
Lol, you must be visually impaired then. At the bottom of the first section: [link="https://stardock.cachefly.net/SinsModPackage1.04.zip"]Reference Data for v1.04[/link]
Correct. This isn't really a priority at the moment, and people can easily do it themselves if they really want the unit balances in, they just have to download the 1.04 reference data from the download section, and use the file in the Sins 1.04 Changed Files folder.
So it crashes? Freezes? Minidumps? What? I was under the impression it still worked. I have changes in the user.settings file and it asks me to 'skip' the errors, and it works A-OK.
Tried that...minidump. Don't know why. When I change that and only that line, not deleting anything, it says "string not found."
String not found? Thats a string issue, not an ability issue. Abilities and buff are, in my opinion, the hardest .entity files to work with. I strongly suggest getting a working mod made, without the abilities, first, then add to it. The strings are the first thing you should learn about if you intend on putting any new... anything, in the gam
Gas Giants should be colonised by the AI, once they have the research. Ship Graveyards are probably not very compatible with the AI however, and I will work on that in 1.4, when I get started.
@ bandw2 1. What? 4 Tactical slots, 5 Tactical slots? What difference does this make? I'm totally confused as to what you are trying to say here, please elaborate further. 2. No. Things like that are restricted to map files and options only. It is the map you played that did this, not my mod. 3. The errors:
yes, they are both known to me, and I'll fix the Industrial Planet one in 1.4. It shouldn't affect gameplay though, and the GasGiant thing, I can't comprehend,
I believe it would have very minimal affect. It could be the cause of the MP issues, but I very much doubt it.
I parked 2 colony ships right next to a derelict Battlecruiser for about an hour, and nothing happened. I researched that one as fast as I could in anticipation of the results, and was a bit disappointed when nothing happened. I even brought a fleet of ships in there with every type of ship in the atlantean fleet to see if it made a difference...nothing. please fix this. As for the planetary bonus, this is what I'm talking about... WWW Link Just got me curious when I s
Mmm.. Can't edit my post, weird. Ubel, yes, they are both known to me, and I'll fix the Industrial Planet one in 1.4. It shouldn't affect gameplay though, and the GasGiant thing, I can't comprehend, it doesn't make any sense. Saying that however, in Sins 1.04 we have the option to find bugs and errors, which should be handy.
Woah, thats a really weird bug. It may have something to do with the 'Mip Maps' when saving a texture. Strange though, I will investigate. Thank you for finding this 'fix', I doubt I would have tried it ;)
Many words can some up my feelings now, but the best to describe it would be: F***ING SWEET! Everything you said above was like some drug-induced dream. The more I read, the better it got. I still can't believe how much you took note of our requests, unlike 95% of developers out there who ask, and never respond. I'll definitely check out 'Beyond Compare', and would greatly appreciate any tutorial on the more complex ways to merge/script/compare/update/etc... This is a great
Just a random question. Will 1.3a of this mod be compatible with the Retail 1.4 that is coming out later this week? Or will all the mods have to be subsequently updated?
Some will, some won't. It is likely that I will begin work on S+ 1.4 when Sins 1.04 is released.
@ DaFinchy Thanks for the positive comments; 1. Like you said, these can't be applied as Bonuses unfortunately. 2. I don't think this is the problem, as the AI can easily deal with this effect when other things apply it to a planet. 3. I'll consider the Alderan idea, but no promises. I have quite a few 'definites' on my 1.4 list already. 4. These are a nice idea, and will probably be included in 1.4. Look out for your name in the credits if they are included. ;) Th
I don't like to give you the bad news, but I don't think this is possible at the moment. When the Final Mod tools are released, you might be able to do it then, but at present, I don't think it can be done. Can anyone confirm this?
