Thats just your bad luck ;) I played a game with a friend over LAN (1.2b I think) and I ended up having nearly all my Bonuses negative ones. Every Ocean and Barren world had the Impure Crystal/Metal respectively, and by the time I have my system under control, I had 3 Oceanic, and 2 Barren with these negatives, I was not amused. My friend on the other hand, bathed in positive bonuses all through his system. There are about the same number of Negatives and Positives, and if anything

You would have to mod every planet file to increase its 'Extraction rate' of the asteroids in orbit. Edit: I don't think there are any mods like that, try Google.
@ Ubel Feuer & Shalkto I'm really sorry to hear all that. To both of you; activate logging (tutorial on how to do this at the bottom of the First Post), and upload, or send me the file. I really am at a loss, and if I can't find the issue, I will advertise this as a Single Player only mod. Finding bugs in multiplayer is infinitely harder than single player, as I can't replicate a multiplayer game easily, and when I do, it is a pain in the ass, and quite frankly, not time efficient. I
uzii any chance of more research items and larger planets in the next sins plus?? pwetty pwease
Planet sizes can't be changed without unwanted side effects, and research, as I stated somewhere else, is out of the scope of S+. I only include research directly linked to the new content I do. Sorry man.
Wacky, yes, someone has mentioned that too, but I can't think what would cause it. Its a strange bug, as it is just the same of the other planets, and GalaxyScenarioDef file seems completely fine. I don't have much experience (ok, none at all) with the GF, but as this problem seems to pop up quite a bit I might investigate. It might be worth asking in [link="https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/304538/page/1"]this[/link] thread.
@ Turlas1477 & Mikeolespi Come on you two, you both know the rules. From the top of the First Post in bold red letters:
NO SCREENSHOT/LOG = NO RESPONSE
I this particular case, screenshots are needed. @ Ubel Feuer Right, so you have checked and you don't have the same number? Basically, you will have to jot down the exact folder size of each of the folders in my mod (GameInfo, Textures, etc...), and compare them to everyone elses. After
@ Dathion & CanadaMan777 Screenshots please. In-game of the research screen, and of the colony frigate (selected) after the research is complete. Thank you.
I just spent the morning recording my voice. It's so hard NOT to hate your voice!
I know exactly what you mean. I did a few lines once for a map/mission I made for ArmA. And I hated every time I played through it and heard my voice. It just sounds so false and put on, especially when you try and say it with character and enthusiasm. Good luck with it all anyway. ;)
@ Ubel Feuer Ok, I meant a screenshot of your mods folder, but never mind. This error seems common on Multiplayer, and the only thing I can really suggest is make absolutely sure that you all have exactly the same 'Mod Checksum' number. I can't really say more than that, and I may, if this issue continues, only advertise Sins Plus as a single player Mod. Sorry. Oh, and love your wallpaper, very cool. ;) @ demowhc I won't be adding research, other than the resea
Very nice mod. Totally original and very retro, also cartoony, looks. I bet its a very fun mod to see in action. Good luck with any more you add to it, and any help, you know where we (modders) are.
@ SOASETM
Problem was I wasn't activating the mod via the mod screen, hey nothing in the readme saying I should lol.
A nice cover up, but you failed to read the readme properly :D :d. Directly from the readme:
Extract the 'Sins Plus' folder into your Mods Folder for Sins of a Solar Empire, at: C:\Documents and Settings\**YOUR_USERNAME**\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods Having done that correctly [U]you
Well i sent in my colony frigates to try and hijack some derelict ships but it wouldn't let me
They were neutral right? You obviously can't capture them when another race has taken them.
Thank you Awolf.
I'm not sure if I installed the mod incorrectly but it crashes as soon as I try to load the map I made with this in the game. What information can I provide you that would help you fix the crash? JBD
Screenshots. Of the mod folder, with address bar visible, and anything else around or in the mod folder. Things like that will help if you think you may have installed it wrong.
Use the Colony Frigates. It is set to auto-cast once they have the research, the only thing I can think, is that they try to clear the system before moving in the Colonisers. I will work on this in 1.4.
Needless to say; outstanding work once again. I can't really say much more than that. Your skills are sublime, and your work, amazing.
No, but you could have a play around with a number at the bottom of the ship files: formationRank # That might change it, but other than that I haven't seen any references to it. However, I haven't touched many ship files, so maybe someone with a better knowledge of them could help you out.
@ Carbon Thats very relieving to hear. Thank you. @ wnmnkh I'm sorry to hear you still can't get it working, maybe Nvidia will release a driver to fix it (:( @ Zachery Gangrel Thanks for your support, its always good the hear a positive comment, thanks. @ Kreyson I believe DANMAN has just posted a few shots of the Relic planet in action. Something to note though, what you see one shot cannot be controlled. ;) Oh, and
My pleasure, and Duty. ;)
If I'd had seen those posts you linked to, I would have chipped in, especially the Gundam mod one. I've kept a low profile on the other "mods" people are "announcing" as I figured they will eventually die out once people realise how much work is needed. I totally agree with all your points above, and I am pretty poor with most modding things, but I think its my will to learn that keeps me going. So, I am quite excited about what things can be done (and learned) from the Final Tools. Although, li
Right, my patience has worn too thin and now I'm getting angry. @ HerrHildebrand The Radiation, and about 95% of ALL negative bonuses are discovered on Colonisation. There are 2 bonuses that I can think of that are activated after Exploration. Get your facts right first of all. @ Blnukem Seeing as only a tiny minority experience crashes, you have either installed it incorrectly, or it is something your end. @ ORYLY Thank you for the
I've replied to your PM, but I'll say it here. You must put the research in the Player~~~.ENTITY files and make sure the blocks position isn't where a Vanilla research is.
Very nice indeed Deckard, and I've replied to your PM. Goodnight (GMT). Edit: I'm sorry, but I'm out of options for this crash. It must be your end because the vast majority of people have it working A-OK. It sounds more like a graphical issue, perhaps your card is outdated or something. Sorry.
Enable logging and upload the log somewhere, if you don't know how to do this, check the bottom of my mods First Post, [link="https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/301574"]here.[/link]
Now that looks very nice. Very nice indeed. The first shot looks outstanding with the bloom and glow with it. Nice work ;)
Thats a nice idea, thanks. I will post that link in the First Post too, if thats ok?
