Any hints on creating a convincing sugar free chocolate pudding planet?
Lol, you could actually make a 'Candy' world for the Space Ponies. I remember reading the description of their Bonus, and it saying something about Candy Mountain. So, Candy Planet, would just be a 'ZOMG LOL' moment. :D Edit: To the OP, I think those values are in the Frigate and Capital ship files. The strikecraft files are very short, with minimal stat references.

@ Zachery Gangrel Mmmm... Some nice ideas there. 1 and 2 definitely sound good, and could quite easily be put in. I'd have to think of something that would make them stand out, but I like the ideas. 3 is not doable at present, I tried adjusting research from a planet for the Relic world, but failed, they just aren't compatible at the moment. 4, interesting, but quite similar to the Relic world, and 5, like you said ;), too similar to the Forest and Swamp worlds. Thanks for the ideas.<
Err... The above post might not help that particular question much, but he's on the right lines. You should have them in .OGG format, and add their file name to theSound~~~~~.ENTITY file that they come under, probably Music or something similar. You may also have to define which race uses it, and that could probably be found in the Player~~~~.ENTITY file. And don't forget those count numbers.
Glad to see its helping people. Any questions, not mentioned above, please post. In a tutorial that long, I am pretty sure I've missed something, or made an error ;)
Damn, this is serious, and I don't know a work around. I can try to set them as no owner, that might work. I have set them all so that they have zero chance of being targeted, but clearly the AI still sees them as a threat and converges on them. Tomorrow I will look into this, as I'm just off now (GMT). Thank you for the feedback.
Ok, I'm total lost. Annatar sounds like the man to ask ;)
Strange. You have put every file from all those folders in right? So 896 in GameInfo, 320 in Mesh, 440 in Particle, and 106 in Window. You have also used the 1.03 reference data, and are playing 1.03 of Sins? Edit: Sorry if these have been asked, I haven't been following this thread.
Woah, that has total thrown me off. So, the dimensions are wrong, or the position is wrong? When you say height, I thought you meant the dimensions of the info card, but that screen looks like it is the position of the info card that has changed.
Lol, yes. Someone has spotted that too (don't blame you, even I loose track of this thread ;)). If something else pops up, I will release another update, but it only should effect the displayed name of the Red Star in the in-game map maker. But thanks for the heads up, I would prefer to get 10 posts of one problems, than none at all. Cheers ;)
Oh, top job Animage, thanks a lot for that. I've added the link and credit to the top of the First Post. Can I ask, have you had any problems with the Relic world, like described above?
Seems strange, as the Height when I have added strings does change, could you post a screenshot?
No, a screenshot is the only way, it will show us your folder structure. Like this if you can(from another post, but has the same affect): To do this, hit the 'PrtScn' button near your F12 button, then open Paint, or something similar, and paste it in (Ctrl+V). Then save, and upload it to [link="http://imageshack.us/"]Imageshack[/link] and post the 'Direct Link to Image' address you are given at the bottom of the n
Yes. It would have to be a mod, but technically, yes, mod files are read over the Vanilla ones so it should work.
Ok, if no-one has asked this yet, they should have :d POST A SCREENSHOT. We need a screenshot of your mod folder with the address bar visible. You must have the structure all wrong in the mod folder.
*Nods approvingly* :D
You need Sins 1.02 or above I believe.
Amen to that, and thank you for not attacking me. Too often on any forum I see someone who just doesn't stop and think, and keeps on and on no matter what is said. I agree with your points above, and will try to avoid posting aggressive things, and just stay clear ;)
You must define the new sounds in one of the Sound~~~~.ENTITY files in the GameInfo folder. They work much like the string file. What you have written in the ship file is just a reference to the Sound~~~~~.ENTITY, it is there you must add you actual file name.
@ Annatar Ah, good to see you here ;) And good to hear you like it, and don't have the loading screen problem. Thanks for the post :D @ Lazerbug Oh, right. Well, thats even stranger. I'm not really accustomed to the GF and the workings of it, but it must be a line or letter I have missed somewhere that causes this, very peculiar indeed.
Now that, is a very weird bug. I just checked the GSD file, and it all seems fine to me. Maybe GF has trouble reading it... strange.
Edit: Lazerbug has the right idea, thank you sir. Edit2: Lazerbug, could you elaborate on the Relic planet problem, I don't understand what you are saying...
Put it this way, when you need them, you will know. They are hard to explain, but every Ability and Buff(something the abilities use) uses these things, but finding the one you want is long and hard work. This list helps those who need to find a specific one, without trudging through hundreds of files.
@ Polt22 I have now removed the link, as it was only for 1.2b, not 1.3a. I believe you have to move the GalaxyScenarioDef file somewhere, but I'm not sure where. @ Auggie12 Can't be done, well, not yet at least, sorry man. @ DANMAN Thats good to hear. Must be a small minority who experience it. @ Robert I'm not sure, but at a guess no. I recommend a fresh download and install of my mod. Other than that, I can't help. It works
You sirs, especially Bail, have just saved myself, and many others a great deal of time. I wanted to do this, but gave up as it was quite a daunting task, you truly are both a great asset to this forum. Thank you very much... :CONGRAT:
A nice post... but; I answered his question to the best of my ability, without actually trying them myself. Yes he asked a specific question, and for that I am thankful. But, could have said what he had tried, what effects he was aiming for, and what files he was editing. When I see a post, with a specific question, that actually looks like they have spent some time on it, I will gladly help as much as I can. But I've seen an increasing amount of posts that, quite frankly, have taken moments
