the way I see it is, if we are going to be able to test out MP, then we should have access to all three races, otherwise if we balance 2 then get the third at a later date, all the balancing work for the two races probably will be for nothing as we will have to start from scratch again,

At the moment its not possible to change the tax rate of planets, Salaena1000 asked on irc about being able to change the tax rate on planets, personally I think changing the tax income of planets would be a very good idea, and is coupled with culture, higher the culture the more you can tax a planet, but low culture and low alliance to your empire and you tax them hard, will make the planet revolt, I think this will add more to the gameplay, so what do others think?

Good ideas ! I would like to add to the idea of civilian structures and ships. What if these could be attacked by an enemy faction, the pirates or insurgents resulting in missions for the player to come to the rescue ? at the mo, culture doesn't seem to have any purpose, what I would like to see is that broadcast towers can send out ships that can take over planets using propaganda or by converting them through culture, and that higher the culture the more resistant a planet is by being taken over in this way, you cap planet should always be 100% culkture to stop it from being taken over unless you bomb it, but trade ports and trade between planets should raise culture a bit, I think this would allow for takin
