I've gotten that sound too, but not just on TEC. It seems some ability is trying and failing to cast over and over. In the bottom left, I kept seeing a message about being unable to target something. While it seemed to always happen on the TEC, I've heard it on Advent too. Haven't really tried Vasari. I am on 1.041.

So, I haven't played sins for a while now and wanted to play this mod, since it is my favorite. However, SOA requires Diplomacy 1.19F. I have no choice but to get 1.21 from impulse. Am I out of luck until the next version of SOA comes out, or is there something I can do to make it work?

Nope, probably not a memory issue. I have 6 GB of ram and the game is only using around 1.7 GB. I've not seen the game reach the 2 GB mark which can cause issues on 32 bit systems, though I am running 64 bit. Who knows. My graphics card also has 1 GB of ram, so I'm probably not running out of video ram. I guess I'll try lowering the graphics settings though, since I probably won't notice the difference. I've been trying this mod out, and so far I like it. I was playing the ancients though, and I noticed that the Aurora seems to been invisible. I can see the shield impact, but I can never see the ship. I think the Atlantis City ship was the same, but my game crashed with no minidump soon after building one. I can't remember, as it was 2 AM in the morning. Anyway, any tips on being able to see the Aurora? I checked in the mod folder, and I have three .dds te
I was wondering if there was a hotkey to reset the camera? I have not found one, but I would be able to enjoy the game much more if there was one. I seem irrationally afraid to move the camera around for some reason, just because I have to go back and put it exactly how it was earlier. P.S. I tried searching first to see if this has been asked already, but the search feature dosen't seem to work for me...

Could be your app data folder. You could try delating the sins folder in the appdata folder.
Ya, its a driver issue. I got lucky though. I can run sins on my old dell E1405 with intel GMA945. The drivers that I have work fine, and I can run sins on an two and a half year old laptop. Glad you got it working though.
Thanks Nibilaa, I didn't know about that. And Corfe, to my limited knowledge, to make the ships cheaper, you would have to modify the cost in each file. The file you pasted in your post looked like the first research for max ships. That could allow for more ships total, but not make them cheaper.
I created my own version of this, but I have an issue with it. The cap for the total ships says the right number in the research area, but in the main interface after I researched it, the number won't go over 2000. The number will go down to -500 or so, but after that, nothing, I can't build any more ships. I changed it so with all upgrades researched, the total is 8000. Any idea what is causing this?
