Yeah, I started a game with locked teams yesterday and quit, and when I came back, teams were unlocked. My enemies were all almost dead anyway, so I just decided to treat it like a civil war broke out. Had a whole other empire to knock out :-)

Meh, I didn't really enjoy this mod. The planets are all unique and I like the idea of a ship graveyard with retrievable derelict ships, but the derelicts themselves are boring, and the shipyards have the nasty effect of gluing any AI ship that enters it to that gravity well. So you can't really play this mod offline :-/ Fix that and make it so that you don't have to explore every single planet to find the planet bonuses, and I'll be more impressed :-)
This game is FARRR from overwhelming. In fact, it's a little too slow paced and hands-off.
Especially the vasari, since from what I've observed when playing my own games, the Vasari seem more aggressive than the other races in terms of diplomacy. That may be completely false though. Maybe I'm just led astray by their raspy voices.
Also, the AI will declare war on you if it sees a significant gap in your defenses and knows it can wipe you out pretty quickly. It's very logical to backstab someone who isn't going to benefit you alive.
I don't think DICE ever stated that there will be advertisements on the loading screens. I thought that was just a rumor. All I've heard is that there's going to be advertisements on the website and registration page.
Well there is a jump inhibitor ability on a capital ship. It's on either the evacuator or the human colony capital ship, I forgot, but I know it slows down ships in an area of effect by like 60% and makes jumps take a little longer.
Yeah, not knowing about the logistics cap is a bit of a biggie. I think they teach you how to increase your ship cap in the tutorial, so you should play it again and pay closer attention.
There should be a campaign mode only because the story is so interesting. It shouldn't be like the GCII campaign though, which was scenario-based rehash of skirmish games. Make it less focused on empire-building and more focused around tactical fleet battles, imho, to set it apart from the main game.
Like I posted in the other topic: The AI needs a tune-up so that they work as a team, build balanced fleets and maximized economies, capture asteroid fields and other non colonizable areas, and generally be harder to beat (I'm playing multiple Hard-mode AI's at the same time atm, and even that's way too easy). And yes, make them surrender! I hate spending 2 hours cleaning up AI opponents who are already doomed. Also, add more game speeds. There should be a game speed called "ar
TC, there's never a time where your income HAS to drop below 0. If you upgrade your infrastructure and build trade ports at all of the planets you conquer, your outer planets can only make money, not lose money. And you can never build your fleet so large that the upkeep surpasses your income because of the 2000 supply cap. In every huge game I've played, I've been able to maintain my credit income at ~40 per second and my metal and crystal incomes at ~8 per second.
He meant February.
I'm glad to see the devs are so aware of the issues. The AI needs a tune-up so that they work as a team, build balanced fleets and maximized economies, capture asteroid fields and other non colonizable areas, and generally be harder to beat (I'm playing multiple Hard-mode AI's at the same time atm, and even that's way too easy). And yes, make them surrender! I hate spending 2 hours cleaning up AI opponents who are already doomed. Also, I love the idea of adding more game speeds, like yo
