I covet your ThinkPad T400 with 8 gigs [e digicons][/e] . 8 gigs is a good spot for 64 bit, and now that I do everything except gaming on my pc, I can feel free to make that 64 and shove some more ram in it. *checks prices of 4 GB sticks and recoils in horror at price of 16 GB*. Yep, 8 GB is the sweet spot here. Plus, the latency and speed are strictly meh.

nope, but theirs were the blurry ones =p I'll put up pictures once I get back to the state where the models are.
brilliant! So much better than any of mine look... although in fairness I'm not done yet =P. Still a lot better than what I expect to end up with.
It's not easy, but if you install to the last non beta version, copy your entire directory elsewhere, then install the beta patch and copy that to another elsewhere and just paste which you want into the directory when you want to play, it should work just fine. I highly recommend once they release 1.1 that you uninstall and reinstall in impulse, though, rather than patching, which may suck because of your download cap (really, hasn't anybody thought of charging a bit more and taking the cap
nope, isn't going to work, sorry. The beta of 1.1 doesn't support the mods folder, so I'd have to make a new mod from scratch, and it'd be terrible and a lot of work and probably not work and ruin your installation.
Hey all, I'm trying to summon up the willpower to do another round of balancing, but first I'd love it if you all could tell me anything I didn't implement so I can fix the easy stuff and get a good test in before I go back to models. If you can point out any blatant balance issues you notice while looking, that'd be great though. I just really want to get back to work and look through the balance again with turrets and all and see where the carrier balance is right now.
Hey, college isn't always a picnic. I've got a five page paper to write, a compsci project, 100 pages of dry textbook to read, and an entire goddamn novel. It's the book periods forgot. The entire first page has a period. Just one. It's almost impenetrable. I have a fun sunday to look forward to. Oh well, at least both my five pagers weren't due on Friday like I thought they were.
Nah, no problem on the derailment. I'm working crazy hard on school till the end of this weekend, but then I'll be back and ready to do some work (other than the crysis I intend to play when I get my desktop back). I can't wait till prezo gets his new desktop, then we can really get back to work and (hopefully) get a public version out soon.
Once we can release without getting sued to oblivion. [e digicons][/e]

Renaming and restatting all the existing planet models, as well as those in the Sins Plus mod, which Danman has graciously allowed us to use.
I need to ask how many of you guys are planning on getting the first expansion online. Because if they're doing what I think they are, then the additions the first expansion makes should make ramilies star forts and blackstones really easy to do an awesome job on, but if it won't work for most people, then we have problems. So, how many?
Yep, pretty much. Demigod beta just fell on me like a ton of bricks, so I'm out of it for a few more days. Oh, and essays. I'm ready to get enough stuff in for a public beta, it'll just be very bare bones.
Dude, look over the stats for the hero. Look over them again. Then look at the price. The Kor'vattra's plenty good. The later ships will all be mid-late game unlocks. The tau will start very weak, with only the explorer but will become steadily stronger as the game progresses.
Wow, you have even eviller taste in music than I do. Once I get back to my fleet and get some of it painted, I'll take some pics. The imperials are black with red and gold trim and white prows, while the chaos is this lovely deep blue enamel with gold highlights (thousand sons anyone?) and some serious bridge conversions. Towers and spikes and stuff for the gothic castle look. Fun stuff.
Better than mere soda? Maybe. Not better than good soda. Bring on the Pepsi!
I generally try to avoid drinking my paint remover, thanks [e digicons][/e] .
TEA! And the taste of good tea is way better than the taste of mere soda. If I want that much sweetness I'll just suck a sugarcane. Or antifreeze, I hear that's the preferred sweetener of chinese toothpaste. [e digicons]8(|[/e]
Because tea is better [e digicons][/e] . Oh, and coffee has always smelled like skunk to me. Plus, strong tea has way more taste than mere soda.
I'll drink tea. No coffee, no soda.
That would be gruesome. Don't drink coffee. Tea is the one true way. Convert to tea! Repent your coffee sins!
And then the tea ninja stands back up, dusts off his clothes and pulls the fake sword out of his armpit.
Ooh, tea ninja, could I please have a cup?
Oooh, plane tickets to there are expensive... It better be some good tea.
Thanks again, this would've been a lot harder without all the resources of modcraft. Does it make tea, by the way? That's the only thing I'm not sure it does [e digicons][/e]
I'll try it, it sounds good, but I'll need some time. College makes for busy people.
