oops, sorry... Yeah, that's a relatively ambitious merge. Just getting the galaxyscenariodef file right would take an experienced modder a day easily.

Try *.entity first, then there's only about two more files that need tweaking, gameplay.constants and galaxyscenariodef.galaxyscenariodef, IIRC. If you're trying to combine Sins Plus with SoGE beta, you'll also need to know that the Planets in SoGE have a MUCH bigger gravity well, so you'll need to tweak that too. It's a relatively problematic merge, I must say. [e classic]:-|[/e]
Luckily, I don't think the smilies are imbalanced, so they can be included as-is. [e digicons]:P[/e] And yes, this was just a transparent attempt to grab the 1000TH POST! Bad Greenkey!
1) acceptable with disclaimer (and iNert's doing rather well on that front if I've heard correctly, so that may not be too far off) 2) acceptable with disclaimer (I mean we'll tell everybody that the buildings will be fugly as sin, so they won't be rudely surprised, that's just obviously something we wouldn't want to pull) 3) acceptable with disclaimer, wouldn't be all that hard to add another race that's entirely proxies (like two days, and most of the teething issues would b
Thrawn, I'm thinking of getting that set too, it's a brilliant deal. Now my templars can get their terminator spearhead! Also, I've been inspired by demigod. What would you think if we whiteboxed the buildings to fulfil the IP restriction and then went public with what we've got? Or would I make an ass of myself with my woefully screwed up and imbalanced mod?
yeah, we don't have Repulsive. I'm trying to get inert on it, but he's busy this week. I don't know when the caps'll get done. The first priority in my book is getting a cap and building model together so we can have a public release.
Try again bragg is my hero! Anybody who carries a heavy bolter with a BS 2 is worth getting on the very very good side of. IE the stock end of the bolter. HK was a very hard choice in my kotor games, because he was awesomely hilarious but could get whiny when playing a light side character, and I couldn't refuse the chance to become a cuisinart(buffs >> chain lightning, in my book, light side blenders can pwn almost any boss in three or so turns and one hit anything else, especially in
STATEMENT: I was fond of that pinnacle of non-organic life as well.
How many souls do you guys sacrifice each day to keep it going? Is your body count greater than the organic meatbag on the Throne?
CONFUSING CLARIFICATION: Every day, the essence of one meatbag is used for every lick it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop.
Nurgle is happy. His worshippers aren't happy. Big distinction, and that whole plague thing isn't my cup of tea either. Tzeentch is cool, though, definitely my favorite. Only the rubric marines of the thousand sons are dust, anybody with sorcerous powers became even cooler. Also, humans in ME are incredibly close to mech tau.
Volus ARE sweet, but as somebody who plays mech tau and all that stuff, I can tell you that humans fight wars the right way. Mobility and firepower ftw!
Lol let the exploding begin!
Well, to be more accurate, the melting. I melted the gold bit off about five contacts. Miracle the AGP slot still worked.
good god just stop trying to make it like the table top for the first release, its taking forever. just change the models, edit to tooltip
after buying mass effect and playing it for 5 days straight i have burnt out my video card and so am runing on my (very) old one so i probbly cant even run sins anymore
That sucks terribly. I hope they get you a new one soon, the last time I broke a video card, I had to replace it. Granted, running oblivion on ATI's version of the FX or 4 series from nvidia was pretty bloody stupid.
Did you atleast beat ME?
Is there a competition on? If so
Hells yeah! OM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM! Okay, in other news, I just got into the history course I really wanted (Air Power and Modern Warfare and the teacher's awesome too), so that's: a) awesome (and a funny story too, I just don't have the patience to type it) and b) the closest to a blog entry I'll ever write in my entire life.
lol, I'll try, but that's the easy part of getting it working. If it was just chaos, I'd be mostly done, and sleeping in this weekend. It's also the vast majority of the gameplay. Still, it's going well.
Eventually. yeah, college hit, and I'm still being dutiful, so give it a while. I'm actually ahead of my work, so yeah.
I really wish we had a limitless number of hidden effects to play around with...
lol, splosions
i think rolls would be a good idea, but you should maybe have techtree options, with different ships that fit the same role, and you can only make one of the researches, and make each ship slightly different, like more damage, or more shileds, or faster, so that it becomes a tactical choice based on what you want your fleet to do, or is that a bit to complicated
Nah, it's not that complicated except for the mutually exclusive bit. We've already got ships seperat
Yeah, I'll widen the turns. I'm pretty tempted to slow down gun reload and shield recharge to being based off a 30 second turn.
Okay, that's one vote for longer turns. I'm perplexed, I could never seem to turn inside fractal 4 enough to get a good deflection shot. I did damage him till he jumped one time with snapshots when he changed direction, but I found it easier gliding with a bit of lateral thrust. He'd have to turn into my gunsights, and I could usually peg him before he got his sights on me. Granted, I'm a piss poor deflection shot, but that seemed to work for me. Also, I tried Mk. 2 vipers in a custom b
I don't know where to get those packs, I've just made a basic furball, and am playing that. Scar is the cylon at the end of the escort mission that's almost impossible to get a good deflection shot off on. The only way of fighting him I've found that lets me damage him with any frequency is to glide, keep my nose on him, and shoot him before he shoots me, in which case he'll peel off and I get to laugh at his wusshood. Fighting him is a race against ammo. I think I'll try to get some modding don
Yeah, I involuntarily stayed up till 2 am, but I beat the demo three times in a row and I think I'm over it for now. I pwned scar the second time through, the key is to pop into glide and trash his nose before he can hurt you. And yes, it's great. I'm trying to decide between doing the planets and the IN. IN'll be easier, but planets will be more useful sooner. Decisions... Also, I'm going to college in about two days, so I'm going to become scarce. It's not BTRL. Definitely not that.
BTRL is Beyond the Red Line, a BSG flight sim. And boy is it good. We've got the rights from Danman to use anything we want from sins plus, but instead of adding the planets, I'm going to wait a while longer and custom make planets for the mod using all the planet models we have access to.
Okay, I'll try to figure out how to make money less of an issue. At least once we get research done, there'll be a place to sink your crystal. ...Damn, BTRL is awesome, that's completely eating my resolve to do anything other than plug toasters. I may become scarce again... :NOTSURE:
Nah, the old screenies pretty much show everything we've got. If I'm wrong, please post screenshots to correct me. Admiral, once you get to see turrets in action, you'll see that they have markedly different rates of fire. Escorts only get to fire once every twenty seconds, so once they shoot one time, they're spent and are at the mercy of the bombers. Caps can fire as quickly as once every four seconds, so they have a much better chance of staving off some attacking fighters. Also, each shot is
Hey all, I feel like a dick for disappearing for the weekend, but I just moved, and we only got the internet set up for my computer a few minutes ago. Anyway, I've got a version with turrets and the planet killer ready. Tell me whether you think turrets make bombers suck, what you think of the planet killer (and its main ability) and all that other fun stuff.
