Well, most are good, but some are noticable when the same icon from another tech is used, and the new one is more blurry. The Gas giant one is fine, but I would definately remove the green flag on it since it really stands out. If I figured out how to get to the actual icons myself I could tinker with it a bit, but I still haven't figured that bit out lol. Don't worry about it though, it's a polish thing but not ultimately that important until the very end. :D
Wintermist
Awesome, I did also notice a few icons for the research tree not looking as crisp as the original ones, more blurry like, is this something I can easily modify myself as I quite like to do icons :D
I thought so, I'm using: DS_v0.21R+FWSP-RG.7z
Is the TEC Rebel ability to call in Pirate reinforcement removed or is it a bug?
Come on Stardock, how can we play this Beta online now?
Now me and my friend is getting "Old Version Detected" when we try to play with the beta.
Looks good, happy you're working on the game still, because it's a damn fun game to play with your friends!
I actually agree about the moving Starbases, I do think they all should be able to move, and at different speeds is a decent trade, and if you feel it's still unfair, make it so they can't shoot while moving then. But let them move!
Quoting ogoor, reply 7 btw. just out of curiosity, will you ever fix these 5 broken achievements? Achievements are the very last thing anybody should care about ever fixing.
Sure, actual gameplay issues are more important, but in a perfect world, all features in a game should work as intended.
Yay! Keep em coming!
Sweet, now it's getting closer to me starting to play it :D
Uhm, don't know what happened there. At first my post didn't show up so I posted it again. And now there's two. My apologies.
I understand what you're saying. I'm too an "older" player. I can partly agree to what you're saying but there's also another explanation as to why games don't feel as special anymore as they did back then. We've seen most things already. I think it's hard to create such a masterpiece that we will all sit down in wonder. It would of course be possible, but I think it would require a whole lot of development time to get it as full of depth as we would wish it to have. Another re

Thanks, all in due time I guess :) I had hoped there was a date set for this but he who waits...
Hi again, It's been a while since I posted and I basically came back to see if there's been any major updates yet. Yes you probably guessed it, I'm mostly waiting for the campaign and also some enhanced graphics updates. So, basically, my question is: Are there any news on when we will get either of these? PS. I'd prefer it if any comments saying that they want or don't want a campaign simply didn't post at all here. DS.
Don't think of it as research, think of it as training bright young officers to command those extra ships. Think of it as researching new training techniques.
Nope, I still can't make any sense to it. In my opinion it should be related to the amount of people you have available. That's it really. But, since it has to be scaled down to retain a playable level, it should be scaled down a lot. However, I still think it should be related to the amount of planets you
Actually, no.Competitive players have specific needs for a game. They need it to move relatively quickly so they can achieve and hold a rank in a reasonable length of time. Balancing the game strictly for a fast, competitive, online style of play would tend to harm those who prefer a more relaxed, multi-session offline style of play, perhaps against numerous opponents, perhaps with multiple star systems. It may be the same game, but it is not played the same way by people who prefer to pla

1. This has been an issue for lots of people, me included. The response has been that they're working on a better system for it. I really hope it's soon as it's such a big part of a game like this to be put back for long. Major concerns of a game has to be fixed soon, or else people will quit playing it. 2. A very good point indeed. I basically post this so that it won't disappear deep down below all other active topics.
Hi guysI've been trying the demo and I kinda like it so far.But there is one thing I have been thinking about. Is this game strong in multiplayer like many normal RTS's are?? Or does the focus really lie most at the singeplayer of this game?I hope for the former
To be honest, the single-player part of the game is just the same gameplay as Online, except you're playing versus computers. The most prompt way to handle the game's balance would be to listen to what th
I know, and I still don't think it qualifies for a research. "General Hammond, we need to add more ships to our fleets, but we don't know how to do it!" - "A serious concern indeed, I'll notify the research division heads about this. Hopefully they can figure out why we can't just build more ships."
I'm sure they spent most of their time in the space barn, tending those pink space ponies.
Oh, just turn up your game speed.
Haha Craig, You really just ignored the Original Poster's concern and went for a sub-discussion. Shame on you. :P
