I still play it with the Fall from Heaven mod. It's awesome and getting better constantly as they're still putting dedicated work into the mod. This mod requires Beyond the Sword expansion pack which in itself wasn't too impressive. Fall from Heaven does make use of lots of good features from it though. Get Fall from Heaven here.

Huh? Re-read me please. Look one line above -- basic idea is "easy to learn, hard to master". Your idea violates the approach they took to that by making the races appear to mirror one another. (They really don't, especially once you look at abilities, but thats the appearance they've given -- you can easily find "analogs" amongst the races, but they really are very different). Aha then I

They do. When you bomb a planet you're only targeting government and infrastructure, so you can put your own in place. Pretty much all of the planets in the regions Sins takes place in have already been inhabited by Humans for some time; it's just a question of who rules them. Okay that explains the theory behind it. The feeling one get in-game is rather that you wipe every living being on the planet so

I'm still battling the idea that all the races bombard the planets inhabitants and why they don't foresee this and start to dig into bunkers far underground to survive. On top of this the reproductive cycles must be insanely fast to spawn new civilisations over and over again. Perhaps time plays accelerated but that still leaves one question about how the ships crews would appear to live forever... Also, if all the factions have the power to so easily nuke a planet they don't really hav

So what if it had been asked before. Just ignore the thread instead of posting crap that definately have been posted before. Reading a forum always piss me off. Even if people ask questions to developers there's always a bunch of forum dwellers who take it upon themselves to answer for the developers. Post an idea and 20 no-names immediately bombard it with a lot of no-saying instead of just letting the person suggest his idea. I could go on and on but I can't be bothered to type anymor

Given it's your personal feedback on the BETA you're allowed to state them as you see them and no one should argue them with you, since it's YOUR impressions. So, all I can do, in fact, is agree. This is by far the best feeback post I've rad and you hit the spot.

My graphics card died on me this morning so I guess I'm getting a well earned rest from any gaming. Atleast I can still play Civilization. Hooray. Kael released phase Shadow of Fall From Heaven. It's all I can do now! *curses at his second gainward card to break down in 2 years time*

While it sounds wonderful for a campaign or perhaps a massive sandbox setup, not so much for a "skirmish" map. Assuming we were in there, earth wouldn't be in every game because earth is one planet in a single solar system that really exists, not a randomly generated scenario, or a battle somewhere else. It's rather odd to find an immobile home planet that isn't supposed to be your actual home world in a 4x. Great idea for a boosted planet on a

Your starting planet is your homeworld/capital (which you can move around if you want). Losing it will definitely make you feel pain. In terms of gameplay, the seats of each races government aren't really in the scope of Sins (except maybe the TEC). The Vasari have left their homeworld far behind, as have the Advent. Space is fast and thing

You didn't really interpret my feedback too well, so I'll clarify: Home may be a philosophical home, of other importance than pure income. Space, the distances I'm talking about surpasses any stage of the previous betas. Variation didn't mean numbers of ships in a fleet, but number of buildable ship designs.

Home is home I've put some thought into this and realised a big part of what I'm missing is a home. Some place in the game where I feel everything started. In most games this is the main base. In Sins of a Solar Empire you basically build where you go and call no place home. There should be some sort of Galactic Council somewhere that basically runs the show and calls the shots. Space is Huge Another thing is the Space Lanes. The systems are too cluttered together

I very much disagree with having a limit on how many ships you can have. It should be controlled by resources. I still hold on to my idea that Capital ships should be a lot more expensive, and as such it would automatically be limited by the amount of resources you gather from the universe. A larger universe gives more resources and as a result, more Capital ships. And on another note, we should get the ship classes in a reasonable order, Frigate then Cruiser and finally Capital ships.

This is legitmate concern and we have taken steps to prevent this from getting out of hand in Beta 2. Is this a recent problem, and if so, can you post a screenshot for me. Yes, actually I have had this in almost every game. I am using the very latest version of Sins. I'll try and grab a screenshot to show you. I do appreciate that when playing a very large galaxy, a 3D map could get very disorienting for some. But, if it would be somew

This is just a question, will the star maps later on expand to become 3 dimensional? I get that feeling because of how the travel lines sometimes cross another planet but is actually not connected to it. I'm really hoping it'll be 3D.

What I would like as well is some sort of indication as to how much they like you. Or something, perhaps it's too soon to jump on the diplomacy options yet, it's still early on.

then he didnt do anything and they all say this they neaver keep in an aliance more than an hour they just go this is not benificail its plain stupid id like them to at least be friendly if u are 2 them. non of the ai can be trusted they ALL turn on u no matter what. Yeah, why even bother being friendly with them, you never know when they turn on you.

Bounty and pirates are a way to get to the strongest player whom you cannot reach by weapons power alone. That is exactly why pirates need to be very annoying to the strongest player, because nothing else can annoy that player. Actually no. It shouldn't annoy the player. You shouldn't incorporate something in a game which annoys the player. The game should challenge us, not annoy us. Challenges are fun, annoyanc

*Straight* up? If it was just above the planet, some probably went 'around' the planet that way and the other side just chased them up there. No, it was just by the entrance to the gravity well. It was weird as hell, and in fact, the repair ships had a plan to go even higher, once I clicked them, I saw the green movement line straight up and I couldn't even see where they had plannet to go. They may have been the reason for the fact that everyone's move

While this patch did the job, they now fight appropriate targets. But, let's say you have a carrier with 1 fighter squad and 3 bombers and has been in a fight for a little while in a system. The fighter seems to forget to kill the bombers that is doing damage to their mothership and just shoot at whatever target is closest. The bombers are doing better, but should in some cases leave their target to come protect the mothership or any other capital ship in danger from another capital ship. <b
