I don't mind it...just sell your metal for crystal.
Ragss
In a custom game on the biggest settings insurgents literally conquered every single team except one. Honestly. I hadn't even moved to another system yet and there was only one other team left in the whole system, and his total feelt size was 350 or so, mine was 1400.
Flak and missle turrets would round it off nicely I think. Missle for long range, flak for shooting down bombers and fighters.
I agree with the fighters/bombers. Especially the fighters. I don't like having to micro them to engage enemy bombers when they're off attacking a research station or something.
I agree, but I'm sure this has been beaten to death. In my game right now I've actually found a number of planets wiped out with a number of insurgent swarms sitting around it. Thankfully, when I encounter these its with my main battle fleet and I chew them up easily. Whats annoying is having to max out my defenses in every single planet because insurgents arrive every 5 minutes or so.
It should take that long. It is weird that a Kodiak is harder to get than a capital ship. Level 10 for a capital ship should take a very long time to reach.
I agree. Maybe have one avaliable (like the Kol since you already have one) but the rest shouldn't be so easy to get, methinks.
I don't mind the crystal situation...I periodically sell metal to buy crystal. I'm not sure how much good my orbital refineries are doing, but I'm never short anymore on crystal.
I just had a random crash (not a big deal, it happens in any game) but it got me to thinking: It would be nice if there were a quicksave button (unless there already is ) and an autosave feature which saves over itself ever 10 minutes or something. This crash made me lose over an hour of gameplay because I forgot to keep saving.
I agree for MP there should be really small, quick games. However, for me personally the fact that I can crank it up to 4 systems with 40 planets each (or whatever the max is) and take weeks to win makes this game perfect for me.
'Insurgency' is bothering me. Every 10 minutes it seems a large fleet of pirates attacks some random, distant planet of mine. Is there anything I can do to curb this trend? Or do I simply have to turn every single one of my outposts into gigantic gauss battery? It just seems a little too powerful, concidering this is in a custom game with the absolute biggest settings so I'll be dealing with these insurgents every 10 minutes for the next 20 hours or whatever it takes to win.
Ahhhh I didn't even know what insurgency did, exactly. Good to know lol. Thanks. I gotta give props to such strong support from Stardock on the forums.
I agree on the Auto Cannons. I'd love to see the TEC Captial Ships just loaded with them instead of other weapons so when they enter combat the area is just completely filled with auto cannon fire, like the old WW2 videos you see of battleships firing at aircraft with hundreds of different guns.
So I just started playing Sins a couple days ago. The one beef I have is with the marauding pirates. In my first campaign I left the option on and after about 3 hours gametime (with lots of pausing in addition) when I had a ship cap of around 700 I would have HUGE fleets of pirates attack my planets that were so far back in my empire I thought they were safe and, as such, were poorly defended.. These pirates seemed to come out of nowhere (are they coming from the star?) in such huge numbers t
