Technically, it should work automatically... Did you register your game via impulse?

Well, this question comes up now and then. I would have loved to see a campaign. Once, the devs commented on it saying sth like, they are currently not able to implement a campaign which is to their liking/ or their ideas. That means: No campaign in the next future. However, the final decision is not made yet. Guesses are, that there might be sth in the third microexpansion if at all. One of the main criticism by some players is that they don't need a campaign functioning as a

I personally think that Entrenchment is great. 10$ is IMHO actually ridiculous for such an expansion. For me, it gave Sins exactly what I have been missing in the Vanilla version. As Annatar pointed out, entrenchment does not hinder you playing with people who don't have it. Concerning stability: No probs on my side so far!
An absolute senseless topic... And I am in! Man, feels like christmas!!!!!
Perhaps I am wrong, however, I had the impression, that impulse works differentially. It simply checks, what files are missing to get you to the latest version. Donwgrading is not really possible. Thus, there are no real patches. The only thing you can do is to install from the dvd (if you have it), which comes with version 1.05.
Hey, man... There is not much you can do. You helped those guys and that's all that counts. So your boss is an ass... Happens now and then, don't let it bring you down. Instead of running away, you had the courage to take action and help the people who needed it. That's sth to be proud of. You don't really need a "rescue diploma" or a medal or whatever to show off. About the resigning stuff: Wouldn't do it if you don't have a good offer. Might be difficult to find a ne
Huh, sounds as if you are in quite a mess. Just to le me get this straight: " You have invested heavily in fleet upgrade and now the supply costs are killing you if you can't keep the planets you are loosing now, right? I don't know. Sounds to me as if your only option left is to go with everything you've got to their home planets. They will bring their fleets back to defend them, which should ease the pressure on your border planets. Basically, this is your end game sc
I used a binary and hexadecimal calculator. I found out, that 128, in base 10, is 10000000 in binary... (http://calculators.mathwarehouse.com/binary-hexadecimal-calculator.php)
I would like to see the Vasari Nemesis (care bears as we now all know...) as a playable race... A campaign would be nice! I personally would love to see a campaign editor, which allows you to place pop up texts under specified game conditions (ship X is destroyed, planet Y has been conquered...) similair to the story mode in "Alpha Centauri". It should be possible to take a defined fleet from one mission to another...

No CD key as there is no CD. You will need to download Impulse and register your SOASE game (http://www.impulsedriven.com/). Then you can download the newest patch for Sins. As with Entrenchment, you can buy it via Impulse, too. It is not available in retail stores. @ Clausij: "[...] can i buy it on one comp and download on another [...]?" Yes, you can. Just install impulse on the computer you want to play on and login with your Impulse account. Then you should be able to down
[...]since it would be a waste of time installing the beta version [...]
Not necessarily. That's the nice thing with impulse. You just have to download the files missing for the complete version. Thus, if you have the beta version already installed you won't need to install everything again. It was a different issue with the beta3 update because some files had to be changed dramatically. That's why you had to uninstall both Sins and Entrenchment and reinstall i
m kinda new to this impulse thing so if anyone can help me with it. i pre ordered entrenchment, and it asked me just now if i wanted to download and install it. But is it the final version, or still the beta?? Since i dont see anyone here on the forums saying its finally there or anything. just curious....
Huh, good question. Did you take part in the beta (meaning: did you enable "show prerelease versions" in impulse)?
In Switzerland, it's 9:23 am. The morning of the 25th... [e digicons][/e]

Yup, custom made maps don't work in beta 3. But this will be fixed today in the official release of Entrenchment. (Check the forums, there is a workaround here. You need to open the maps in a text editor and make some changes, but I don't know which. Heck, just wait the couple of hours until the official release)
i have said verrify this
If I am right, you should not verify the current beta version... Don't know why you had troubles before that, though. By the way: They invented "." to stop a sentence once in a while... [e digicons][/e]
Hello kamchadal. On the top of this page, there is the "Welcome Kamchadal (Sign Out)" line, correct? Just underneath it you can find a button "My Posts". With it you can easily find your posts (surprise, surprise... [e digicons][/e] ) Okay, the newest update to sins is 1.14 as Carbon has told you. You will need to download Impulse: http://www.impulsedriven.com/ After you did that, register your game. Via impulse, you can also buy Entrench
@kamchadal There is one nearly finished expansion: Entrenchment. Right now, it is in its final stage before release... And I really mean "final"... It is supposed to be released tomorrow (february the 25th 2009) for 10$. It is really worth the money. You'll get starbases and mines and some other stuff. You will need Impulse for downloading it, there won't be a boxed version of it for the time being. There are two more expansions planned. The next one is supposed to foc
In general I would agree with you guys, sounds like a nice idea. However, would it not make the flak frigate nearly obsolete? Perhaps I am wrong... With respect to be realistic and stuff... It's a game... As long as it is well balanced, that's all I care. Now, that carriers take their time to build new strike craft, we will have to see how things work out. If they don't work out then flak frigates need to be powered up... Just my two cents
Nice! Good work guys! Keep it up!
