On another note, does anyone know if the Steam downloaded ETW comes with a manual?
Not sure but I thought I saw something about the manual mentioned on Empire: Total War's website.
I just got the special forces collection from gamestop. I'm kinda scared of opening it because I want the USS Constitution too, but it's not on the box, and the card they gave me was just to DL Rome TW. Anyone else know if I'm missing something?
That was if you buy it from Best Buy, you get the USS Constitution.
If you go into options you can turn off CPU movement which greatly increases the AI turn time.
Yeah i did that, they still take a
I have a M1530 laptop which can run M2TW and Sins on max, but runs Empire dreadfully. Its still playable, but not what I hoped for. Naval battles seem to run an awful lot better than the land ones..
I have that too, Dell XPS right? The battle load times are just fine for me (I don't do too many anyways) but the AI turn takes FOREVER!!! It drives me insane!!
I read/watched the IGN review this morning and succumbed to the craving. It's downloading while I'm at work
Hehe, I think I need to lower the difficulty to Easy down from Normal, I'm just getting into wars with six nations at once (as the bloody freakin' French) against all of Europe pretty much. Indian Campaign, I find myself bankrupt. Dutch and British are fun except my game was ruined by a freeze for the dutch and I don't know how many turns I lost o
You have to have steam running...even for the demo. It's a real turn off, in any case. The game runs like crap. I can have a maxed graphics game of Medieval 2 run perfectly, yet I can't even apply a graphics change to this game without it freezing. Worse still, after a few tries and getting it to the worse settings possible and waiting almost ten minutes on the load to the tutorials, I found the graphics to look like shogun total war with the performance of a next-gen fps. (
Studica.com has cheap student versions of Maya/Maya Bundle Packs if you are real into it, that's where I got mine, and I need it for my classes but not required.
Ok here is the bottom line: It is a great game, poor activation issues (box-copy/digital download pre-loads, etc.) The AI turns take FOREVER!!! I usually get up and pet my cat or do a chore or something in between. The load times for battles seem bareable (but as I said, AI turns take forever) System hog-15 gigs and needs a powerful PC. Naval Battles-got bad reviews but I think they are fun, especially if I'm winning) Grand Campaign is a w
Yeah I know its tied to Steam, but I just wanted them to hear it too, since I wouldn't know where to post it on Steam (whatever?!) Better be 5, 4 has come and gone....
Yeah its nearly 15 gigs. But don't bother getting it, it won't work yet. It says it is Temporarily Unavailable, Try again Later or some #$%^like that. *^%&$3%. I made my anger known on their website, if you stumble upon a post by Phalnax. Waste of life this is right now. Maybe a round of Sins while Empire: Total War and Steam think about working, sometime, hopefully today. -Phalnax Censored language since the game works now ;)
SSAF I used skecth up to model my ships. U just need to get use to it, try making like a cube first. Plus this is standard u need to know the tool in each modeling software u get no matter which one in order easly make some compex polygon shapes and, models. I sugest u give skecth up a second go.
Maybe dare I say leave your house and talk to to the opposite sex.
Lol...too bad none of them are home, all at college. All my college girl friends don't live nearby :( Shame, soo many, and none live close lol, except my ex, but she doesn't count, she's a whore. Anyway... :P
Mine is 13 gigs into the installation!! Almost there. Takes a while to install even from a disc!! Eesh.
I'll be the Akkan Battlecruiser in your Transcesia tonight. Just you and me (and ten thousand bystanders in the windows). :P
When the original publishers stop being picky with their cd key database.
:P Same with Steam too, I was trying to add a few games to that but, same issue...
Lol, I've leaving for Gamestop in 30 mins if they have it. Better have it, I have a gift card!!! So exciting :D Haha
Yeah, when will retail keys bought in-store work for Genesis Rising? Bit unfair they don't work. Same with SupCom (etc.)
Wow, somebody isn't gettin' any action....
So Empire: Total War is out and I'm HOPEFULLY picking up a copy in a few hours!! Any have it?! Who's excited to get it!?!? Looks great!! -Phalnax PS: Sorry Sins...
Wow I was excited about improved surrendering but that's a bit too much. Hopefully a bug? -Phalnax
To epic for you guys.
Haha nah, I don't like star wars, sorry :) (that was Star Wars right?) -Phal
My dream ship,
Lol
thinks it great! The lighting on the ship is perfect too, great work Phalnax. Now if only we could get these ships in game imgagine all the ppl who would download !
Haha thanks, considering its a carrier with AA and two ship to ship rocket launchers on the top. The lighting is the Glow Effect in Maya with makes everything glow the color of the object, it's one of my favs :) PS: I'm working on another now, but if it
Yeah with the Final Judgement, last time I did it was Beta 2, maybe Beta 1 so it was kinda a failure, Not sure if it's any better now :)
Since no one has replied, I will to you during your misfortune/rough spot, I'm sorry :( -Phalnax
