What are you talking about? First you accuse them of just slapping new graphics on the old game, which if you had played the game or read complaints about it you'd know was a farce, but then your second complaint is that they 'removed' all the old stuff. Which is it? Just so you know, it's a little much to expect that everything in 3 (or 4 if you count the half-assed Soulstorm) separate releases show up all in one tidy package for the sequel. Give 'em a few more mill

I'm not sure I understand your question, but I'll try to answer. Shield mitigation has a low base value as the concept is that you don't know what weapons will be firing at them or what angle they'll be coming from. As a target takes damage, the idea is that the crew responds by adjusting the shields and armor enhancement systems to compensate and take less damage. After the fight is over, mitigation slowly lowers as again, you're not sure what weapons or attack vectors yo

I'm still at a loss as to how playing a modded game over another service is going to work out any better than over ICO. I played a couple hours with friends with my 0 checksum mod on and no problems. If you're using a mod that affects the deterministic factors as IC has explained in some of their posts, how are you not going to desync just because you're using Hamachi?

If you can't get a hold of them because of the weekend, you might as well try substituting letters and/or numbers that you might be reading incorrectly for another. I vs. 1, etc. Might work out, you never know. I've frequently read CD-Keys incorrectly over the years.

You do not. You have to have the latest Steam and GFWL updates. These come on the disc, but may need small patches. You have to have a Steam and GFWL account. You have to download the latest updates for DoW2 before playing. You do not have to download the entire game off the net. I'm no fan of DRM and Relic's approach clearly hasn't been the easiest. That being said, I'm finding far more people with problems with the game itself regarding bugs or de

I've no idea what the TC's talking about. The game requires you to install Steam if you don't have it, but the game then installs from the disc. It'd have to, or I'd have spent hours downloading instead of hopping on after a few minutes and playing. SP Campaign from the little I've seen so far requires no tactics, or really I should say very little. Stand all men behind cover. Point guns toward enemy. Repeat. On Primarch, the highest difficulty, the

Hmm, I'll have to search for that later then unless you can provide a link. Edit: Are you referring to this thread: https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/340810 If so, the developer is commenting that the ability doesn't translate those numbers to DPS but flat damage. He's not talking about the regular weapons on ships. I still think they're DPS especially considering the damage values divided by the cooldown times in the ship files seemed to match pr

TEC and Advent can capture neutral or enemy extractors in uncolonizable gravwells with their colony ships. Vasari use their scout ship. If you're referring to an enemy planet's extractors, you will first have to destroy the planet and blow up the extractors on its asteroids. Then you can use the normal procedure of ordering extractors from the logistics tab once you have colonized the planet for your faction.

I'm enjoying the wargear collecting and assigning it to squads far more than the actual combat in the campaign. Fortunately, I didn't buy it for the SP, but because I found the MP beta pretty enjoyable. Yes, the pop-cap bug is still present, but Relic has been vocal that they have a fix hurrying through QA. Pretty embarrassing launch bug, but I'm hopeful they'll have it cleared up soon. As for the shortness of the matches, that was what actually drew me to it.

I'd say keep it visual only. If you've got spare time on your hands, make an alternate mod version that doesn't care about incompatible checksums at all but just including all possible effects. And did you see my post about the Dunov missiles? They're the only ones that I've seen so far for TEC that don't seem to share the missile effects. I've tried examining the mod filenames, but I'm not entirely clear on what they affect. For instance, I've seen "Weapon_T
