I can have 5 maps done by the end of April based upon one of the PDFs I've linked to. Though they will have to be updated when the new map tools are released, because hopefully then one will be able to specify where players start more easily. I have also written some multi-player campaign rules for sins more generally and these can easily be adapted to the campaign rules for BFG. :). By campaign rules for sins I am referring to several sins maps linked together via a macro map, as well

After little hunt (i.e. specialist games web site) I reckon the following two PDF documents would provide the material for initial single and multi player campaigns? 1.[link="http://www.specialist-games.com/battlefleetgothic/assets/lrb/6BFGcampaigns.pdf"]WWW Link[/link] 2.[link="http://www.specialist-games.com/battlefleetgothic/assets/lrb/f_BFGconflicts&appendix.pdf"]WWW Link[/link] Scroll down to the sub-sector maps for examples of maps I can create for sins BFG mod.
Hello BFG MOD team! I would like to put myself forward to design some maps for this mod based upon the GW BFG IP. Let me know if u already have someone and whether my help is needed or not :). For examples of my previous map works check out [link="https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=96&libid=70"]WWW Link[/link] and [link="https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=104&libid=70"]WWW Link[/link] My hope is that we can get a little single player a
ob1_hinobi, u r incorrect...you can still jump to another star system with no access to a star; 1st, via normal phase lanes connecting any one 'planet' in one system to any one 'planet' in another system and 2nd, u can just have wormholes connecting systems. The two maps I linked above demonstrate this quite clearly.
shnitzel5, there are several ways to simulate this mechanic and all have been discussed in depth in other threads......search function is your friend. Also you may want to take a look at the following two maps. [link="https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=96&libid=70"]WWW Link[/link] [link="https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=104&libid=70"]WWW Link[/link] Please note that if you open them via Galaxy Forge, you will loose all the
Nope, I am asking after the new and updated tools that were said to be in the works.
awolfhk, the map is available for download via the the link provided in the OP. To install, extract the zip and place the map file (.galaxy) in the directory ...\Sins of a Solar Empire\Galaxy and the other file in the ...Sins of a Solar Empire\Textures directory. In order to get the maps to show up and be playable in 1.03, open the map file and change the version number to '1'. The map will then show up in the map list for single and multi player under the 'large scenarios' tab. Hope th
The third map in the series should be released soon. It comprises of mainly the constellation of Hydra. As soon as new mapping tools are released that actually allow u to specify where players start, all maps will be updated and the online campaign put forwards.
Hi....just checked the map, and I don't see any disconnected systems. Columba serves as the bridge between the other systems BTW.
Hi! As the subject title states, could we get an ETA on the new MOD and Map Making tools? Second, could we have more intuitive ways to set where players start on a map!?! I am finding it extremely difficult to put together single and multi player campaigns without this functionality! Cheers!
Hi, I understand guerrilla tactics as raiding and hit and run strats, and I have had much success using such a strat. I've found the primary benefit of such a strat is not the destruction it causes, but rather making ur opponent divert forces and focus elsewhere. Similarly surgical strikes with a few missile frigs also work great, for example, when huge engagements occur with both players bolstering their forces continuously i.e. line of frigs from frig yards to the battle fro
Unless I am playing a map with 10+ stars, 1440x900.
Whilst not a single player campaign, there is a multi-player campaign in the works via player efforts.
Meh! Looks like there is just not enough interest in this game despite all the downloads of the maps in question :/ . I have been chatting to a few clanners so I will PM you all when I get confirmation.
Thanks for the reply! Would be helpful if you could tell us what time zone you are in. As this is an eight player map we 'only' (sic) need six more players.
Hi! As the post title suggests I would like arrange an epic game that is possibly played in a number of sessions for this --> https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=104&libid=70 m
maxrsp, could you expand on the type of gameplay changes you are wanting to bring about? Perhaps then we can be better advised on how to help you bring this about?
I think a 'destroyer' class is a great idea. I also think the idea of mines would work very well in sins. Great ideas!
Comprising of over 230 planets and 25 odd stars (highlighted region) , key planets in the systems located in each of the three constellations Puppis, Canis Major and Columiba, together form the the 'backbones' for profitable economic structures; triggering expansionist wars amongst the occupiers of Vela, Crux and Centarus. Have a read of this thread for how to do as Astax has said and more! --> [link="https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/?forumid=443&aid=176054"]WWW Link[/link] Then have a look at this map --> [link="https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/?forumid=443&aid=300454"]WWW Link[/link] for an example how the above methods make a map play.
Thanks for the comments Dari. How long did it take u to complete the map? Was the ai on hard or teamed up? If so how many per team? I am really interested to find out how this map plays in multiplayer!
Dari, it might be a bad idea to increase the fleet cap. Primarily due to the huge FPS drop due to so many planets, even on the lowest settings and screen resolutions.
Thanks for the initial feedback guys. This is the first in a series of maps. Although this series will be a set of separate maps, they will all be a part of a wider campaign system. Expect a basic map (like this one) for the three constellations Puppis, Canis Major and Columba in a couple of weeks. It's smaller than this one so should have better performance. Releasing some of these maps now is to kinda test and get the balance right, including stuff for a possible mod to enhance these campaigne
Hello! I decided to release an early version of a huge map I have put together to get some feedback, for future improvements. It is primarily designed for reasonably equally matched players to play over a number of sessions, rather than in one sitting. <span style="
[quote]This is the exact same thing that happens in every other RTS game online - I remember having about ten people do it to me in one day in C&C: Generals, simply [B]because they didn't want to lose their precious stats[/B], as if that really matters in life.God forbid that their girlfriend (oh, who am I kidding?) finds out that they lost a match to some n00b playing as the TEC![/quote] Personally I think this (bold) inclination swings both ways. Where as those hitting quit show a reg
