The game was made for quite a bit before diplomacy came out, any number of patches will have broken the mod. I'll try to rouse X and get him working on this as soon as possible, although he says that at this point it would be quicker to re write the code than try and update it, this may result in some diferences between this and the last version but it should be better over all
Right, this may sound like a bit of repetition but the fact you guys are still here kinda gives me all the reasons i need to punch the other team members into activity. Hopefuly we will at the very least be able to get a stable official version for the newest patch (thats all code work) if all goes well i will be able to thump our modeler into finishing chaos so we can get two races in. The HW2 mod was not shut down the modder simply didnt have time to continue (she was doing it single handedly) and so it was put in stasis, she has since lost the assets that she had and so never re started. if you look up a few posts you will see that i have stated that we are still alive we are just slowly getting things going again after a bit of a break.
1 dieonara is a fem to my best knowledge =P 2 when we were first considering this mod we contacted her and asked about helping or continuing her mod and we never got a response. 3 HW2 is a much more dificult game to mod than SINS and so there is no way we could have produced the mod so quickly with a 3 man team if it was on HW. maby another time we might try it but at the moment a combination of dificulty and age of the game means i personaly would much preffer to go for a new

its true that they dont care. as long as we dont mix GW stuff with other companies IP. it says so in their copyright documents (they have a section in them about moding), but this is the internet we dont always trust what random people come up and say =P
i think marinies might be getting some models soonish as they only have a few and should be relitivley easy to make their full list. i might even do it now i'm getting into modeling

looking at it from a cost point of view. your console may be cheeper as a original investment, but add in a few games (which you will have to buy to make any use of the console) going at around $100 a game (in my country anyway) and so if you buy 10 games you just spent the same as i spent on my computer which just happens to be a fair whack more powerful that what i last checked a xbox 360 could do. also when it comes time for an upgrade in hardware i pay a few hundred and put in a new piece
thats why i said generaly =P in my experiances with other mod managers its loaded top to bottom. but if harpo here says its otherwise i'd trust him =P
well we will soon fix that boe but due to the copyright stuff on GWs IP we aren't alowed to have non GW races in the game. not sure if its compatable with other ones and it all depends on how the load order works in sins. generaly lower is loaded later and overwrites the previous ones if there are any incompatabilities

while the Ad Mech build on every bit of land possible they often build both up and down so there are giant underground complexes sometimes these complexes were built above ground and have since been burried under mounds of ferrous sand and look like desert worlds with a few small structures and chimneys coming out of the ground. either way there wouldent be much in the way of water as they would probbly use it all up or just polute the crap out of it

theres a good chance that we modders cant do it, it may be hardcoded what shows, also we would be making that from scratch and thats a fair bit of background maths i could probbly do in C++ but i doubt i could do in an in house language like this
no offence but we have stated many times in this thread that there will be all races we can possibly put in. the only races that wont be in will be nids due to their reliance on raming and organic animations, and dark eldar wont be playable as they only have 2 different ships and neither is 'capital class' so we are going to make some setups with the 2 ships they have and make em the pirates
yea we are alive but the code monkey isnt taking his bannanas and has been taking a break from the code when he gets back on the job we will have a entrenchment version ready to go
the general plan is to get imps done to a relativley good standard (all models ingame and most textured) and then we will put in chaos. after that its either tau or some solid time spent on nuting out research if its not done by then in other news apparantly the DoW BFG mod is donating models to us, this should mean some buildings in the next few releases
the nova cannon has 2 spheres of damage anything under the center of the blast marker gets 3d6 damage iirc and anything else under the marker gets hit for 1d6 correct me if i'm wrong x may be having trouble getting both working but i dont know jack about abilities so iuno
well the thing is it would have to be an ability yes? and if its an ability that means cuttoing out one of the special orders. we have already had to cut those down to 3 that are the most usefull in game ( brace for impact lock on and all ahead full or come to new heading) and we had to make room for the torpedoes/other special weapons. so i dont know if we have the room, if only the game didnt lock it to 4 abilities also i have 2 more ships complete with textures i need to put in gam

yep we are doing them as soon as X can figure out a good way to make em fun in game yet still fluffy and loyal to the rules. they are in the next batch of 3 after we finish tau and chaos, after we finish those 2 we will see what race out of orks marines and eldar is the most plausable to do imediatley
