Sorry guys i have not been around much, work and R/L have me pretty busy. I've been redoing the balancing sheet from a very old version, but i'm making it better. i was lucky enough to find a workbook i saved that had the old stats i built on from the one i lost so now i just have to rebuild the values. anyone on the team will be able to use it and you can look at the ships overview once you add it in. It should be much easier to read and understand. i'll add it

Stress might have forgotten to rebalance the mitigation on the research side. it should only be 1-2% increase at most per upgrade. anymore than that and the ships become very difficult to defeat the shields. Also if they get a 15% to shield mitigation from the race bonus,it should be removed to match feds starting point. No i'm not back, but i'm trying to follow

Stress, Working on a database for you which is re-based on Roletype. This should help you rebuild alittle faster with the stats for all the ships and future ships you plan to add. If its successful i'll release it to the general public for any mod.

As of today i have resigned from the mod team for my own personal reasons. Please do not ask why. The patch for 3E.2 is scrubbed for release as i will not be able to complete it. I'm 99.999999999% positive all of the research tress have a cap at tier 1 that can be built without research. Maybe your running an older version of the mod, like the first release which um, was corrected with the patch that goes um, afterwards!
