For myself... 1.(From highest to lowest) Prosperity/quality of life, tech/science levels(since those breakthroughs generally improve prosperity and quality of life), peace(kinda hard to have a good quality of life when at war), ecological sustainability, territory controlled(more resources generally equals more prosperity, but that can be made up for by efficiency from tech), 2. Depends on the people around me. Assuming interstellar travel is possible and there are aggressive/
It's probably coded like this due to how many ships can be firing their weapons and being hit at any one time. Real time damage and projectiles are simply too much to compute when there's 200+ ships on each side firing projectiles to keep track of. Instead of having the engine track all the projectiles and calculate damage based on when it impacted a target, it already knows exactly how much damage a ship will receive as soon as the weapons are fired.
Congrats man.

Thanks for the feedback! Sounds like the shield regen on the Asuran starbase is too high. I'll take a look at it.
I agree that Sins requires little micro, but unless you have no carriers, support cruisers or cap ships, you probably shouldn't go get coffee. Each of those can be micro'd to get far better results than the AI would otherwise. And Starcraft requires 10x(probably more) more micro than Sins. Especially in small engagements, but even 200/200 fights can always use you microing your units into the best position. Hell, some unit compositions(Protoss sentry heavy or Terran bio heavy) essenti

The humans i will admit have some uber powers in the very late game but the Wraith and Asurans have capitals that can kill Human caps in a single salvo. The Wraith and Asurans in early game a seriously OP compared to humans. My friend and i both just played a lan ga
I went ahead and finished that game out. Took 2 hours to end it cause I kinda took my time, but at no point was I worried about losing. The biggest 'oh shit' moment was when I sent my fleet to the undefended desert planet, stopped paying attention, and almost lost my cap when the AI reinforced it. Either way, hard AI=no challenge. Here's the replay of the rest of the game and I added the save so you can play from my advantage and see where it gets ya. <a href="http://dl.dropbo
I was using the term 'video' for replay. I have never seen a winning replay of this game. I believe it is unwinnable because of the system of cheats it has. If anyone can demonstrate differently then I would like to see it. For those who believe this game is easy (or anyone for that matter) they should be able to reproduce a win on the simple map and post it here. Thanks
There is no system of cheats. The games technically not won, yet. Really, at the time I quit I'm only ahead by a bit and if I were playing a human their'd probably be a decent chance for them to come back. However, once behind, the AI has a near impossible time coming back from it. Once I get the last couple asteroids and setup my trade network(I have trade stations researched but none put down yet) I'll have the economy to produce so many ships that I'll have to make a huge tactical blunder to lose them all in a position

Man, unless you're playing Unfair or higher(and even on unfair to some degree) there isn't one single strategy that works because as long as you expand quickly early on you can do pretty much anything you want. Just don't cripple yourself economically in the early game by expanding your fleet supply or having a bunch of planets with no population upgrades. Post the whole replay this time so its possible to see how you started. One obvious thing you may be unaware of is that you can bu
Who knows. We now finally have another dedicated texture artist, so textures should at least get completed somewhat regularly, but it will be a while before all ships are finished.
The model will reflect colors from the background. In the moddb picture the background is dark, in your game you likely have on skyboxes which produce background colors.
You download the 1.011A version and the 1.011A patch. Put the full version in your mods folder and overwrite with the patch files.
You're mistaken. Atlantis has not been textured yet, along with most of the rest of the models.
Ok, I gave this the benefit of the doubt for the first page, but now I'm convinced this has to be a troll. 'The computer is cheating, of course, as it has to in order to produce a competitive game and the required levels of frustration, even on easy level. The thing about this game, compared to other RTS games, is that it is totally unforgiving. It produces AI forces out of all proportion to the time spent on the game, in order to overwhelm the player at any time and tim

With that said, how does this even sound like something viable for an RTS game? If I am losing and can't imply no brilliant Tactical maneuver which opens up a window of opportunity. Then why even bother? Starcraft? Tactical maneuver? It's a bit too simple for much of that. You'd h
Yea, the weapons upgrades on starbases don't do anything at the moment. I'll be changing that sometime in the future.
