I think the Halogen affair was just because they were also working on an RTS, and though this one is also an RTS, it's in space, not on land, so it's something different and i doubt their planning anything like this. As far as I know, you can play as a guest, but I don't know if that allow you to save games or any other details. It'd be nice if you could create multiple offline profiles for situations like this.

The lack of LAN is pure lunacy and greed on Blizz's part and I hope they take a good hit in sales for it from the old fans. That coupled with the move of trying to make the game as "online" as possible and forcefully spread the campaign over 3 products ensures a "no buy" from me. Maybe in like 3-5 years when the actual full cam
I think it will be bigger than the original. And I'll be playing it, but I'm not too worried about trying to compete for a top spot. I mean there's people who play the game professionally, let alone ppl who just play a lot and get zero compensation. I'll be happy with getting into the top league since I never played RTS competitively before.

Because I found it and figured it may help you guys out since it is related, and has a lot of things looking good... Tell me what you decided so I can know.[/quote]
Most people don't have these issues. Clearly there is something wrong on your end. The only crashes that are somewhat normal is late game when the game reaches 2gb memory and causes a minidump.
LOL, any regular person will never need that kind of APM to be decent at RTS. If you want to be a pro, than yea, just like you better have ridiculous control on your fastball. Throwing 100 mph doesn't make you great, just like having 300 apm can be useless. You have to put it to good use. Also, tactics is a part of strategy. Bad tactics = bad strategy.

One of the events Myles may have missed was one of their forum moderators posting his real name to "prove" how safe it was. Within minutes the /b/ croud were publishing his phone number, address, names and ages of cohabitants, pictures of his house from google, etc. That topic has sin

Recently, as in this morning, Blizzard announced that with the launch of Starcraft 2 and World of Warcraft: Cataclysm that they would be launching new forums that required the use of real ID. This means all posts, including those by Blizzard moderators, will be identified with a real life(or possible fake, but I'll discuss that later) name. @starwarswins - Opinions and criticism are fine, being an asshole is not. Stating "All the other capital ships look like shit! It's not even the textures, but there just fucking ugly! The siege capital just looks like a hideous fatass version of the Daedalus!" is not constructive criticism and if expect people to take kindly to that kind of stuff you're going to have a rough go at life. I've never enjoyed playing against an AI that cheats, I simply want them to be as smart as possible in playing the game. I'd just really like a new difficulty level that doesn't cheat, but is smarter and harder than the highest non-cheating difficulty. Also, any chance of getting an AI type that plays relatively bala

I have a very crappy video card(integrated radeon 3200) but a decent processor(quad core @ 1.8ghz) with 4 gb ram and the game runs fine. There shouldn't be any issues running the mod aside the normal sins problem of slowdowns and crashes late game due to memory issues, which will hopefully be solved by the inclusion of the sins optimization project.
I actually played some Civ4: Rhyes and Fall mod and SC2 beta.

**facepalm** Does no one read shit around here? @koshe Had you read just this page alone, you would have seen the discussion on how complete the mod is and the fact that there is no release date estimate. Also, the other Stargate mod does not use custom models(at least Dolynick didn't before, he may have had some donated) it is all coding, which isn't the problem for this mod. The reason this mod is taking so long is because ALL THE MODELS ARE CUSTOM. It takes time to
Meh, Terran's are saving 200/200 on their M&M ball. Just makes an early push is a little harder, not much of a buff really. The Void Ray and Force Field nerfs were pretty warranted, imo, and this comes from a Protoss player. Void ray could sit at the edge of cliffs and snipe anything even with the crappiest micro ever(mine) and marines could do nothing, and they're supposed to be a viable counter. As it is now, if you suck at unit control like myself, it will be much harder to get
