Thanks for chiming in Frogboy. Some people seemed to be reading way too much into this.

Please test and report back thanks Sgi Modteam
Unfortunently I experienced a dump tonite using the new build. Also unfortunent is that it wasn't caused by anything obvious. Need to do more testing [e digicons];)[/e]
@Myles "So you would walk into their building and take their product?" Of course not On a side note, when did this thread turn into a healthcare debate?
Then why do you feel it's any better to steal it over the internet? The simple fact that you're guaranteed to not to get caught?
Yea, normal AI doesn't cheat at all. I'd say if you're having so much trouble with RTS than you should probably stay away from the genre. I've played 3/4 of the games you mentioned, and found none of them very challanging except on the hardest of difficulties. Even then the AI ussually made that beatable as well.
However, if you despise a certain developer or artist, but still like some of their products, then pirate what you want and the hell with 'em.
So you would walk into their building and take their product?
Is you have tester if they want to jump to beta 2, they will all say yes because they all want the game completed as soon as possible. So you should really set yourself some objectives before jumping to the next level.
This is not true. Like Stardock, most beta testers want to take the time neccessary to release a high quality game, not release a shody game quickly. You may have noticed, but most posters so far have said
So you are working on Demigod and Elemental at the same time? Isn't that a little overwhelming...?
Stardock is a rather large company. They have something like 50+ employees.
All I did was open my Impulse program and I have 4 demos available for download without any searching and no external links. I actually don't know how you would go about searching for a Demo in Impulse. One thing I can agree with is that the UI in Impulse can use a lot of work. And, as I said before, competition has already changed things. Steam now does Weekend deals, which it didn't do before Impulse started.
Ohh lets see 5% from 40$ its like 2$ right? hmm huge diffrence. So how come red faction guerilla costs 99.95 on impulse and 69.99 on steam? I can find many examples that steam is cheaper but cant find any of impulse being cheaper. Also free demos and beta are really of intrest to many people. How many on impulse? 0 on steam? 250 and ruse beta atm. Artacian polish gaming comunity rebeled againts ub

And I don't have time to search for games and crap, because I already know Steam has a large library and most like
Rubish. SD and steam have nothing to say about price of game expect their marge (which is 5-10%)
Excactly, they reduce their profit margin to sell games and gain customers. You answered you're own question.
Also Impulse reactor and steam will be matchmaking services for games. And if game owner decides to release their game on those 2 platforms its very unlike
Well I put steam and impulse shop side by side on my pc. As far as price war goes steam wins. Not only average game is about 5$ cheaper but also they have lot more bundle deals (which mean extra saving). Also many new titles are missing on Impulse: Bioshock 1 and 2, Moder warfare 2, AVP, no quake series at all to name fev. No to mention almost 500 games under 10$. Quite fev demos and even open betas (RUSE atm). All of t
well beliving that 2 distrubuting platforms mean cheaper game prices i not really acurate since its the game makers that decide on the price of title. For me it just will inconvinient to have run 2 clients to play my games. I really dont see any pros of having impulse reactor right now. Imagine if same game will be released on 2 platforms. I doubt they will be able to play with each others, so that will most likely mean dived

So this means I don't go back to desktop anymore when the ram limit of 2gb for this game is reached?
No, that a problem with any 32 bit game. There's nothing they could do about that besides a full change to 64 bit code, which won't happen.

This is so contrary to the prevailing wisdom that consumers are dazed and confused.
If you want a purely profitable buisness, then you're correct. However, Brad wants to provide a qu
I've never heard of game mods voiding computer warrenty. In fact, when I went and got my comp repaired(under warranty) the question of mods never came up.
Stardock is very good about getting back to people quickly. If this were a weekday I would expect the reply back within 24-48 hours, but since it's the weekend it will probably be until Monday.
Dev Team I was curious to how the Human ships compared to each other so I put together some balance sheets using excel. I wasn't sure if you guys already had this, so if you want I'd be happy to share. It has shield/hull/dps vs supply/time/cost taking into account armor, damage types, and cap ship level. In the future I plan to add research and ability info, but I only put a couple hours into it so far - been too busy with other work or actually playing the game :)
Yes. Not everybody is bothered by the DRM. For those people, there's no reason why it can't be there. For everybody else, Impulse warns you before you buy just what you're getting into, and you can make that decision. At the end of the day Impulse is just a store.
QFT
