i have been haveing this problem since bata 4 i have an ati mobility x6oo i have found after it starts happening the way to fix is to change resolution keep swiching it and you can get through an entire game it is annoying but that is the only way i have been able to work around it. hp pavilion zd8000 2.3gHT 1gig ati mobility x600 128meg i have upgraded my dtx and my drivers are upto date per hp but i might look into trying to get them from ati i am running xp

this worked i deleted everything and started over and now am playing thanks alot guys you rock the effert you put into this game shows thanks. just to let people know i did use the uninstall buton it is a good idea for people to go back and manualy delet alot of files that dont get deleated even when you slect the option to deleate everything maby this will help some one else. thanks again

well i bleave that the last step is to compleatly unistall the game again and delete all files pertaining to sins and start over ill let you guys know how this shakes out but i think i am goig to head to bed it is late in hawaii :)

nope still wont run it seems to initilize and i have set it to window i am worried that i am not opening the right user.settings file to make the game window and to turn off the movies is the game still placeing the user.settigns in C:\Documents and Settings\afrak\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Setting

well i got some great help from ironclad they helped me replace the galaxies maps that where corrupted but now i am still in this jam now i can not get sins to even create a mini dup it just hangs i have the latest drivers for my graphics card from hp.com i know i have an old computer hp pavilion laptop zd 8000 3.2gig 1gig ram and ati mobility x600 128meg gfx crd. the last thing i can think of is to update direct x which i am doing now ill get back to you guys if it works thanks to everyone hope

i have this same problem i am not shure what the problem the bata ran fine but now i cant play the full version (:( (:( (:( i did use star dock to uninstall the bata the it reinstalled the full game but no luck

it might work if the planets rotated slowly. though you guys give very good points and i can understand why it was scraped. it might work if there was a camera lock on the planet that you are viewing then useing the side navigation window to move to the next planet there would be more keys to push be able to do something simple. i think it would be cool if you just had the option to play rotateing planets or not. proibly best for single player.

I was floating around the internet and ran into a game that had planets orbiting a sun in it's solar system. I thought this was cool and was wondering if it would work in a game like this. It would complicate things but would keep people on there toes. I know this would never make it in to this version of the game but to have constantly changing trade lanes might be interesting. I found a post on this form before I started playing the game but it wasn’t very informative. If I missed a thread abo

well after playing some more i was able to get a fix to the flickering i was able to turn off all icons and effects and engine trails wich stoped all the flickering so this leads me to bleave that it is time to get a new computer becase it cant handle the grapics stress or it is the 5200rpm drive that is just to slow.

After about 4 hours of play I suspended my computer for the night in the morning I tried t again and it didn’t work this happened with another saved game i had. i though i would wrap up two

hey i just pre-ordered the game today any news on when the next bata will go out?? i did not recieve a batat sieral number via e-mail so i guess ill wait a couple of weeks looks like a great game cant wait to try it.
