Ill have to see em in action before I pass judgement, but they sound like a little more incentive to build more civic labs a little sooner. Love the look of the new research trees, btw. It'll be so much more efficient to find that one tech I need right now. The "Underground" screen is a nice addition, too. Is the progress bar below the pirate an ETA to next raid? How accurate is it? Id rather it were able to fluctuate to a degree, especially cool if you could influence

Welcome to the Forum, ThunderNipples. We all know the Lobby sucks, and is usually empty atm, mostly because it sucks, but keep in mind this is only beta. Stardock has kept a strict limit on the number of players in the pool, so finding a game is going to be tough. Plus, with a look at the new screenshots, posted just today, huge sections of the AI have been totally reworked, so I'm confident that the Lobby is among them. (Yarlen, please confirm). As far as what it offers that oth

Don't get me wrong, TGE, I think most CEOs and entrepreneurs deserve what they get too. But SOME (a vast minority) abuse their control and think only of their own gain, even bypassing regulations and controls to the detriment of their companies and therefore the entire workforce. THEY are why the regulations are needed. They are why "true" capitalism doesn't really exist and wouldn't work anyways. Everything needs regulation in any society. Anything else is just anarchy (in a bad way).

Avatar, I think you hit the nail on the head. I'd just like to interject that capitalism Does work much better than Communism or even Socialism, for the very reasons you described. It all comes down to who has the power. In capitalism, each individual OWNs, therefore has power, and since most people are good it is used largely for good and paying for the relative wealth and comfort of the American middle class. Even Bill Gates in his infinite richness represents only a fraction of 1% of

I have yet to play Assasins Creed, Looks teh Uberz, though. Did you notice it is also conspicuously missing from the linked poll? And calm down, Schod, I'm not saying that one of those is the best, just noting that they should at least be present in any discussion or poll of gamings 2007. BTW, eets, I <3 TF2. What servers you play on, whats your nick?

I Abstain. The best game of 2k7 isn't even on their list :P That list is far too short anyways, given the extreme number and quality of games for this last year. Its obvious whoever composed that poll had a clear winner in mind, so he omitted all the games that might compete w/ crysis directly for votes. Really, now, can you vote for best of 2k7 w/o TF2, UT3 and Bioshock at least mentioned?

WOW.... much vasari opinion. not much consolidating... I agree that early game Vasari pretty much blow right now, but the repeatedly mentioned tech-tree re-shuffle should be able to pretty much cover all the major complaints I have, if the distinctive tech advantages have been made MORE accessible. *crosses fingers* Real voice acting will cover all the other complaints *double crosses fingers*
