yah, people leave to fast, like CenturionJixra i ended up playing a game 5 vs 5 on huge mutli, i managed to flee (omg just in time) and established a few colonys on a distant galaxy, i kept quiet and nobody noticed...... in the end i made it to RA and my allies were dammed glad i had the #1 fleet 6 of the 9 players in the game ended up in my friendlist (THATS HOW YOU PLAY GAMES)
No, you need to be fixed. You who doesn't even know how to ignore a person and gets all uptight, demanding others should cater to his social ineptitude is far worse than someone who uses their right to free speech and has the spine to do so without regards for a nobody like you.Decent enough troll, sheer name-calling often can give off a false impression of actually being raged at the OP's post rather than just baiting. 4/10, room for improvement but not a bad start.OP: It's been a while
i think the coming changes to RA wil have a positive effect, right now it is possible 2 tech to RA and win the game, with the changes to RA it is only considerd a strong research, just like the TEC pirate raids wich u wont research after your empire = big enough and so does it has to work for RA, dont tech RA until your empire is big enough to sustain itself, RA = just another way for Vasari to get free ships in LATE GAME, if we are going to nerf it again it wil yet again become a rush
who cares if girls are online.... gaming isnt some sort of dudes thing i've had more "fun" games with people that claim to girls "i.e, me saying Dude you Rule, her saying... yah about that dude thingy......" they actually think more brightly then most men do and they dont leave after they lose a fleet made up of 5 diciples for the moment im much more confident a game won't get screwed due to "devil-like annoying players" if there are "alot" of female players, cuase i'
right now it's hard 2 see becuase impact and damage arent synchronized, they said something about fixing that in 1.1 to, as much as it helps i dont realy notice projectiles missing or not, kanrak assailants missles do mis then turn around and hit anyways so not sure about that LRM's rockets just explode around the target Illuminator beams never miss i dont see much unrealistic stuf onto it, missles are designed to be smart, tracking capabilit
what a discussion....... i'd say Amen to the guys who thought it through (pirates r not the problem. it's the current solution vs pirates) Alot of people pirate, and i've had more then enough games whre the developers let me hanging, telling me i should buy a 350$ upgrade for my system or do not reply to any future mails if the problem cant be solved, at those times i give the company a good mail. "hello, you wil never see me or even worse, my money again, at the
nope, you have to either download it somewhere or "find" an online computer, put the program on a USB, CD, floppy or anything of the sort then bring it back to your offline computer and instal fomr the USB, CD etc you cna also just take patches via the USB, CD etc. but then you dont have the awesome Impulse client "dont mind the joke plz" :NOTSURE:
i have not touched visari i dont use them at all. i like some of their abilities but thats it. if i can i want to use some of their tech tree for the advent. i hope nobody cares and i gave credit where it was due, but i stole the direct phase jump mod and added it to mine. to put emphesis on keeping worlds hidden from enemies. the advent also have a faster phase jump speed and startup to let them chase retreating ships. and i check this post frequently to give a swift reply.
<
@ CommanderAdama, oh your right, didnt see the fat Modding on top of the "-Maximum number of buildable capital ship types per race increased from 5 to 9." my bad.... and 2 bad :SNIFF!: meh guess i'll have to reread the changelog then, cuase i obviously didnt spend enough attention on the factthat not everything statet = standard in the 1,1 patch :NOTSURE: so i hereby ask
wOOOt, looks awesome keep it going!!!! i dont wanan miss this, like this i'll have 2 games in 1 ... nice again woot... dont wanna dual post... :P nice idea :P
nownow Cykur im just another of those average guys trying to live my life no, "someone as articulate as myself" can't figure out the interface. blame it on me if you want to but in my opinion useless software isnt meant for everyone tough i didnt know impulse was still getting more stuff integrated over time, sow maybe it'll become much easier to adapt it to my needs after some actually usefull options are integrated ""do you realy like my writing or was that
then i only see 2 options 1: throw us a bone, explain how this impulse machine works i cant seem 2 figure out where to find options 2 modify my own stuff etc. (and so do alot of others) 2: go take your easy way, and watch customers leave (including me) should you take 1, fine i'll use the weird software, and keep reinstalling it every new patch (you better leave notes that theres an update tough) should you take 2, then i, and probably lots of o
You may not see any loss of revenue, but I will personally see a net gain in the future. No you wont. You've just chosen not to get an upgraded engine by your car manafacturer because you have to go to the BMW garage where they have adverts for their other cars you can just ignore. You chose to not buy the best magazine because it had a cellophane outer sleeve with adverts on it.You chose to not buy the sandwitches you would probably like the flavour of because you have to go to the sandwitc
"I am not ready for a client based patching service like Impulse or Steam." I can't help but get the image of someone from the 80's refusing to give up thier washed out jeans and boom box. The future is passing you by, the idea of stand alone patches as a common, nessesary thing for PC games has been around for what - 10 years? Before those games I dind't even think about patching a game. Did you really think it wouldn't change?
im srry but i have to agr
atack move doesnt always work for me in this situation, sometimes enemy fleets jump away from a different direction, only a handfull of my fleet wil pursue the retreating force and get;s destroyed if im playing a player oponent who's paying enough attention:P the rest of the fleet continues it's attack move to an abondomed part of orbit kinda frustrating when he gives an all-out retreat in to my territory (made me lose the game couple of times) S_o_L
I honestly don't see how you're getting the idea that there's some draconian restriction here that makes the two even remotely comparable. Especially given your comments just a month and a half ago, and some others a couple months before that...Thanks for the reply. I say things now due to the fact that when I bought Sins it required zero additional programs to run at its optimum potential. Now a month and half later the community is told that if you want to upgrade to the obviously best
lol just found some info.... i'm already confused T_T lets just dl it carefully then see what will comes out (im always lucky w/ this :)
Modding: --------------------------------------------------------------------------- -Maximum number of buildable capital ship types per race increased from 5 to 9. woot!!? 4 new caps.... neaty... well guess i'd better get impulse then... sure hope i got game information somewhere
nice guide :) do most of the stuff myself to counter illum :) like sixhits if i know im gonna lose the battle "illum or not" i withdraw into his own territory start splitting my fleet and pop as many economy as i can (if he's not cheating he wont have a good defense + illum spam :).. mostly :P after that people will call me a lamer etc.etc.etc, but hey.. they didnt go 4 brainplaced PJI's :) i just love people saying they suck... more chance people dont get em so i get anot
uff thats alot of stuff u wanna add... looking at in from a few angles, some show a nice improvement, some show it to be a to large change, in other words, we'll get 2 seperate games. i totally agree on the "shoot unit X until HP == 0 and dies" being a lil dated, but it's also the most "fair" and easyiest method right now i doubt this wil do any help in later stages as alot of people just focuss fire on ships killing it with 1/2 shots. if you were to
My fleet normally runs around 200 to 250 ships in total. But I have faced down and watch my planets get wiped out by fleets that are 300 plus. I just quit a game and came here looking for a patch after I had two AI fleets each more than mine. My first fleet was 7 captial ships and 87 other ships. My second fleet was 5 capital ships and 91 other ships.
i think your confused with this being an unfair AI, only those "cheat" you've spend to much resources o
not to bust all of this, this is your strategy, i personally see this as a somewhat newb tactic cuase its used as a basic there are so many factors 2 look at it is impossible to have a set strategy explained in detail how many asteroids have u got, how many militia are present on nearby planets, how close are your enemies, do you have a nearby ally who's "clearly" going military/economic? to much factors r undetermined b4 u start the game <b
w/e..... either u hate the game take a snapshot in a so called "downtime" or ure unlucky and have your free time in these downtimes not much 2 do bout it but wait 30 min / 1 hour
i think he means changing the complete title of the asteroid, not just its name example, for the asteroid planet Cronus he wants to change the title Asteroid, not the name Cronus now i have no idea how 2 do that tough, never "mess" with that sort of files
dont care bout stats... my buds are like.. woow dude, thats awesome, how'd u get that..... well, we draw alot, i hate "owning or winnig" from nice people, so i offer them draws... as most of our clan does we play 4 fun not 4 stats i do understand u think the system = screwed.. cuase it is, all u can do about it now is not 2 judge people for their ranking people even make dummy account or "smurfs" just 2 able 2 play a normal game as am i
