can vasri still mine the "entrance" areas of grav wells and get my ships killed the moment they jump in?
Levelheaded
not having mobile minelayers is what makes tec mines balanced and good.
make all mines be deoployed like tec mines. problem semi-solved. screw faction diversity on this one.
how about giving it more time to be sorted out.
i was thinking that the other 2 should be brought inline with cost of the TEC. Having no cost attached is stupid and bad for orverall balance. in fact they need to be more expensive since they are a lot more flexible.
So TEC mines are actualy what ppl expect of mines: easy to deploy fields ( With their cost and the fact that the actualy do take real space (cant place 2 on top after all) they form a nice addition and have a limi
I have a nvidia 8500 gt, quad core processor and 3 gigs of ram and I would love to be able to play sins in dx10... dont you agree?I have an 8600 GT M0nkey, and I get slideshows when I turn on DX10 in any game. The only Nvidia Cards that can run DX 10 playable are the 8800+ cards.
well honestly: wtf did you buy a 8600 in the first place?
i will be impressed if you give a broader range of payment options. hint: im not going to go trough the hassle to load cash onto a paypal account or get a credit card.
nah. Its a band of ex advent nudists.
And what does dx10 add to the table that merits the extra amounts of work needed to make dx10 versions of the game compatible with dx9 versions? + Space games can look marvelous in dx9 already, look at nexus for example. Polish what is readily available for the bulk of the people.
Kols and Dunovs for unlimited gauss spam.
Imo you should at least have to have a scout in the system to fire the planet-killers at it
Unreasonable. Once you know its location why would you need an scout? Last time we checked (when the dinos died) planets have proven oblivous to the concept of "evasion" at any scale.
as a tec, spam those thing like mad AFTER you have expanded up to the point where your enemy hampers you. especialy on planets where you dont know what to build. if you have enough labs (including those for redundancy) and your media is covered: go for money. your trade related research will be more useful with every tradeport you build. Its the thing that keeps tec going: being able to buy even the most ridicilously priced ressources. And in team games you can feed your al
of course its them cursed nano bots. some vasari tech screwed up and his bots went all genocidal. and what happens if a nanobot crazy-epidemic is raging through your empire? its getting dark and silent.
Space combat IN SINS should be like: Ships that can fire on the move. thx. that alone will make it a bit more dynamik.
tec scouts can be devastating to your eco if you let them bomb your buildings.
do you realy think having evacuators or radiance battleships start at level 3 is a good idea? or motherships (like getting massive cost reduction when colonizing...)?
afaik lrms do outrange guardian repulsion fields.
I think SC sucked ten years ago and i still think sc sucks. But thats my opinion.
Consoleros usualy dont look to fondly upon rts games. And besides:
. Playing this game on my 46 inch Bravia in living room > sitting hunched at my 24 inch widescreen in the dark, lonely computer room
THE DECADENCE!
What i miss on most TEC ships is the Bab5 Earthforce'esque turret philosophy. The Kol reminded my in most parts of the Omega Class Destroyers (awesome thingys) because it just looked like something humans would actualy build. The Marzas overall design, while being crude and somewhat ugly in terms of polygon usage, is again something humans would build. A giant anti planet Massdriver with a ship slapped onto it. Up the model details and textures and off you go, awsome ship. <
Victory is at hand for the Unity!
No, its not. please stop babbling nonsense and lift your head a bit. yes. thats ok. thank you. *fires novalith*
Then honestly, you suck. Simply pic one front-line planet (or asteroid, its better) and build media centers until logistik slots are full. Now watch how your culture creeps around the map devouring your ops stuff and giving you a neat bonus. after that, to defeat his culture on your offensive all you need to do now is kill his media centers. You can wage your offensive war without needing to stop or to repel his culture with your caps (Cap Culture Repell should be an e
nothing says owned like instant killing any damn planet you wish.
you can manualy send them around the enemy formation to land in their backs. they are fast enough. so the cruisers and lrf have to shoot in the wrong direction to get them, which sucks considering you like to shoot expensive ships first and not turn around to kill some frigs...
