Since you've obviously purchased the game, you could install IMPULSE ( www.impulsedriven.com ), which will be required to get the game updates past version 1.05 anyway......and install the game via download through Impulse.

Yes, you "save" the game (hit "menu" then "save" while in-game). Then on another day you "load" the saved game when your're hosting. Done. :)
Firewall or other anti-malware/security software "silently" blocking in the background? Try running in "windowed-mode" to see if you're missing a pop-up. thanks, the Monk
No, no way around that other than having two different game-versions installed on your machine. Once you've updated a to a newer version all saves from an older version are invalid. thanks, the Monk
Click the blue ORB in the upper-left corner and make sure "show pre-release versions" is checked. thanks, the Monk
If you had/have the DEMO installed please remove it first. thanks, the Monk
I tested "Alloy" the same day it was release and came to these conclusions..... :) Yes you can host even with the error you mentioned. thanks, the Monk
Thanks IC!!! Already downloaded........ready to try it out this weekend. [e digicons][/e]
You may install two copies of SINS on two machines you own. Those are the terms of the license as far as I know. :) (ie. each SINS license is a two-seat license)
The OP obviously has no choice, but I will be reconsidering 1.1 based on its delivery method.
As has been repeatedly pointed out on these forums, going forward Impulse will be the only way to receive additional patches. It would be a shame to cut yourself out of "the loop" for no other reason than disliking a delivery method. Impulse is by far the least invasive digital distribution system out there. I might suggest you "try bef
1. No the patch is not out of "beta" yet. 2. Not sure......maybe they'll publish a more complete list of features in the (first of several) mini-expansion as it gets closer to release. 3. Impulse multi-player for SINS in version 1.1? [e digicons]:\[/e] On a side note........why can't you play with your friends via ICO?
Don Nico, Since your "trace" (tracert) keeps dropping at the same "hop" it sounds to me like something is blocking or dropping parts of your "outbound" connections somewhere along the way. Are you sure you don't have some firewall/security software on your system blocking something? Would you understand what I mean if I were to suggest you modify your PC's ROUTE statement? (ie. adding a custom ROUTE to ICO's server?) If you
Turn all available settings from "highest" to "high"......and see if that makes a difference. By the way, one of my notebooks runs SINS using the same chipset you have and I've had to do the above.
cant host some players say you must open the ports were is the ports to open the and host a game ??
1. Which game version are you running? (look at the bottom right of the screen when you're in the game to find out) 2. If your're running game version 1.05 or less, you'll have to allow SINS past any firewalls you've got on your PC and forward two ports through any router along the path be
Should I also try the 1.1 beta?
There are a few "bugs" which can make MP-play somewhat imbalanced (like the fact that strikecraft do not scuttle correctly and the fact that you'll know if there is an artifact on a planet even before you "explore" it). Your choice really..
daedric63, Do you read? You'll notice I linked you to ALL of the information you'll need in my REPLY #1. If you follow the LINK and check under the GREEN writing you'll see a <a href="http://themonk.ca/Monk/Networking_and_Sins_by_the_Mo
Yes the Monk, I am in a college Dorm apartment, could this be why i am having issues? Will i ever be able to play Sins Ironclad Online?
You should (if you haven't already) update your game to version 1.1 BETA (v1.09) via IMPULSE ( www.impulsedriven.com ). It has new netcode, that is able to "tunnel" past firewalls/routers. Once you have IMPULSE installed, click the BLUE O
You could try updating to the latest game version and/or turning some settings in-game down. More than likely though your Intel chipset doesn't have proper pixel shader support....
Please make sure your drivers are up-to-date on both machines. ...and what is a while in "...the program functions normally for a while but then stops working.....", are we talking about 5 minutes, or 5 hours? the Monk
Sounds like a blast! I'd support a MOD to enforce said rules.... [e digicons][/e]
That means something along the way is dropping your connection..... If what you posted above is the actual "tracert" output then it seems like something "upstream" from your PC is dropping your connection. Are you by any chance in an Apartment building, College dorm, etc.? thanks, the Monk
You'll probably have to contact via email...
You're plaing with an older game version (I'm assuming 1.0?). Check the bottom right corner of the screen when in-game. The AI has received numerous improvements since game version 1.0, so I'd suggest updating your game......
you might have to contact via email.
If memory serves me correctly..... The "tutorials" in the retail release (v1.0) were buggered.....updating your game to a newer version may correct the issue for you. If you're already on the latest game-version, then all I can say is.......forget the tutorials.....and just play the game...:) the Monk EDIT: Just re-read your OP and saw you're on version 1.05. Don't know what else to tell you then.
