u kno those nukes that the ships have for orbital bombardment ..... well it be koo if u could liek set those nukes as mines or like idk in the middle of a battle when a capital ship explodes since its such a huge ship and probably has a fusion reactor or a nuclear reactor, if when it blew up it caused splash damage on the ships around it. i seriously think we need a mine ship liek it can serve 2 purposes, it could mine areas and just put little tactical nuke mines everywhere and it could go thro

ok thank u guys so much for the help and ive been able to make some advances in the mod installation, ok i got it installed and extracted, when im on the main menu in the game and i go to option and mods it shows texture and sins plus but when i go to play all the planets look black

rgw ai runs a lot when u put it on aggressive easy or medium but ive noticed when i put the ai on hard defensive they tend to sit and fight more also they tend to build defenses around their planets , nutin big but sumtin, also when i play medium i never loose a capital ship but in hard i just finished playing a game and i lost liek 8

is there anyway to mod the game so that there are no phase jumps within a star system, only from one system to the next and that the gravwells ecompass everything, i wanna try to do thsi to give this game a real strategic sense so that u have to protect trade routes and so that u can sneak around other players and such, i kno it would take a long time for a fleet to move but it be more realistic and would make one strategize more

i liek a lot of small fleets to cover my many planets, i liek one kol battleship with one sova carrier and one akkan battlecruiser, then i liek 4 robotics frigates, 4 kodiak heavy cruisers, 2 ceilo command cruisers, and 6 Percheron Light Carriers, i then get about 7 light cobal frigates, 7 flak frigates, 5 seige frigates, and 7 javelis frigates with about 10 scout frigates

if you look into the expanded universe of starwars specificaly after episode 6 ull find a couple new races/ enemies for which the empire and rebels/new republic unite to fight against or it becomes a 3 way fight.

i remember readin in all the strategy guides and forum posts by ironclad and stardock that u must avoid having asteroids as choke points and frontline planets but when the maps are already set up so that 6 phaselanes travel through an asteroid field and only 2 phase lanes go through a planet, how can you avoid it????????? im jsut saying theyre telling us to do one thing but in the game its nearly imposible since asteroids also tend to be the first jumpoint from a star so yea liek it sux , stardo

i neve go into red i always have huge fleets, all my planets are fully upgraded and i have liek 200,000 credits 100,000 metal and about 50,000 crystal, i think you need to build more trade centers and refineries

I tend to first push them into a corner in a star system and then on a planet that they have to pass by to get out of the system load it up with guns and a small fleet, 3-4 cap ships and varios other frigs and cruisers there (the planet doesnt have to be rite next to the attack planet, as long as the ai ahs to pass through it to get out of the system) then i send the attack fleet to pund them into submission usually 6-8 cap ships and they tend to retreat and what i do is as i see them retreating

yea i agree some times ship guns should miss but the thing is that the only race that uses projectile weapons, the tec, would be at a a huge disadvantage against the vasari and advent who solely rely on a weapons of plasma and lasers
