no, in the current system it doesn't matter how you expand your empire, since you're not going to be able to defend your planets no matter what you do. t
So you're telling me, contrary to what has been stated, that you can't possible have fleets defend your planets against enemy raiding parties? That doesn't make an ounce of sense to me....If you can't defend planets by having less of them to watch, how is it going to be different with PJI's that limit ship movement?

People have been hating on GS for years, hell, even before that dude was fired, there were numerous complaints of bribes, review altering, and general developer manipulation prior to that Kane & Lynch review. And it won't stop so long as reviewers keep handing out negative scores to folks favorite games. They say they don't read GS, but they're concerned that it's taking bribes.

The real truth: -Most of the revenue comes from subscribed users and ads, which allows Gamespot to keep reviewing smaller games. -The game is number 5 in views out of all systems -Most games are free from the developer. -Grand Theft Auto 4 and Call of Duty 4 aren't published by EA or Ubisoft. -Ea and Ubisoft games have a history of getting poor/average reviews.
I guess it would hurt other shit $$ companies like EA ... after they fired that guy for a bad review
Crazy, like they don't read the initial post..
Hey, you're partially responsible now. The topic is titled, "Sins vs. Eve". Sins, maybe by its fifth sequel, might match Eve in looks one day; that is, unless you guys want graphically satisfying chug fest. :)

Are people actually comparing SINS to EVE; a space simulator and a large scale RTS!? ROFL!!
I mean... not that anyone pays any attention to Gamespot reviews anymore, but there you have it
The only people who I don't see paying attention are those who were shocked by their honest reviews, but meh.... Not saying that's you of course, but used to participate in their forums. People would throw fits over .1 differences, or mention some 30 year old review (like...(YAWN) the infamous Tony Hawk 3 review) as a sign of Gamespots's imperfection. Now they give s
i told you! that review was garbage. and look how gamespot slaps it up immediately at the top of thier list. conspiracy!
(sigh) The review score never changed (only the combined score for user reviews & the main review), and the reason it's at the top of the PC list on Gamespot is because of user views. All of this has been.....Very amusing.
LOL - I'm a developer. If I wanted to mod it in, I could do it myself in 5 minutes. But I like playing against humans, and I can't do that online with a modded game (at least that's usually how it works).
Clearly you aren't the only one who wants this feature, I'm not sure why you haven't asked the developer to include both concepts.
Sure, but my point was, why would someone who advocates the OPPOSITE gameplay mechanic from the one I advocate want a slightly buffed PJI? It seems that they would want it dropped altogether.
Sorry, but that statement is not making an ounce of sense to me.
Well we can be "honest" just like you can. You guys who wanted the nerfed PJI just didn't want to deal with the stress of looking at strategic points on a map and figuring out how you
But I do have a question: Why do you advocate increasing the PJI's effectiveness at all? Why don't you either advocate keeping it the way it is now (totally ineffective), or just eliminating it altogether? I don't know what a slightly enhanced PJI does for the style of gameplay you advocate. It seems you are just advocating it be buffed somewhat for no good reason at all.
No good reason at all? Increasing the time before a jump will enable you to cause more dama

(SIGH!!!!) Why aren't there more reviews!? I betcha, if this was Halo Wars or Spore there would've been 20 reviews on the day of release.
That's an interesting statement, considering that I saw a replay where you personally used siege frigates against someone with vastly more military and eco than *you*, and you did it successfully.
Tell me this isn't true, since he was extremely adamant about not changing the original strength of the siege frigates. If true, that explains a lot.
Well, my point is the guy was speaking as if he denies the Holocaust. Talk was on the I-favor-the-Nazis end of the spectrum of trash talk. This cannot be ignored in a game imo. But yes, I will play with my friends from now on.
This is one of the reasons I hate multiplayer.
I actually have to agree with Megadeth... that was a pretty terrible review from 1up. I have no problem with a score of 8.5, but that piece was pretty awful.
What was horrible about it then? To me, it was concise, getting straight to the main points without forcing me to read a gazillion pages, really didn't seem grammatically inept, and (not that is matters) gave good a score to the game.
