I like the story (as read from the Lore page) simply for the fact that if they make a Sins 2, they can have a horror angle like in Homeworld: Cataclysm had. I don't know about the rest of you but i got some shivers down my spine from that game (not crap my pants like in AvP 1 as a marine).
We've already given our reasons in this thread and several others. If people choose not to accept it, that's their decision - it's not going to affect the price one way or the other. We're perfectly happy with people buying the game from retail.
What I'm trying to get

In the end, if they can add animated turrets to the game in a patch with the option of disabling them, and it's not a total nightmare to program, they REALLY should add this to the game. If you ever played Homeworld (1, 1c, 2) and just watched the turrets turn/track/fire on hostiles then you know what i mean. It's just awesome to watch.

Hmm, i wounder if you can mail stardock the money and upon recieving the money, send you the game? Try contacting Sales - [email protected] https://store.stardock.com/contacts.aspx Oh and your English is terrible Dutch.

Sins does not have a publisher for Europe. BUT you can still order online with a credit card, you are not banned from ordering in Europe. -edit- Re-read Dutch's post and he is already considering the option below, but does not know anyone yet -edit- If you know of someone who can order for you, there is the option for them to have the game shipped to you (dutch) instead of to them (people ordering for you). I believe this option applied to credit card and pay-pal.

If SD/IC had their game released in all major/usual countries world wide within a short period of time after release, then i'd start *****ing about the extra $5. But this game seems to be slipping under the radar and the europe market is cut off due to stupid publishers(yes, i believe they are stupid for believing space games don't sell anymore). SD/IC need an edge, and making the publishers more happy is one way of doing it. BUT GIVE A REASON WHY YOU ARE CHARGING $5 EX

But I want moving turrets AND great system performance... *sigh* (being sarcastic but do actually want both) Depending on how the average user does running the game, it would give the game a boost in features if they could make a update game that is SEPARATE from the regular updates to animate turrets so people can selectively chose to enable this option.
Why Frogboy Why!!!!!!! Morgan brother! Morgan. She slightly wiggled her hips, subtly arched her back and batted a few eyelashes then she asked her question. This caught Frogboy completely of guard while his mental defenses were down. looking at Frogboy's post, seems i am mistaken. I took it that the count down timer on the site was the time until release (digital download time). Of course i'm having a fit of insomnia so i may just be tired. and where did the edit button go?
Actually, IIRC they said around 3pm GMT... so, around 9-10am for the US and Canada...
You do know Canada has 6 time zones and the USA 4? It'll be 12:30 am for me.

I hope there will be a modding community similar to what X3 developed. "If you don't like it, chances are someone made a script/mod for it" was the general rule for that game.

wow, the quote is MUCH easier to read. They should change the background accordingly.

I'm thinking about that. But i still want that information. -edit- Oh, and i'd much rather buy it rather then pre-order (CE ftw) as i don't actually know if i'll be here on the release date (good prospect of getting hired with fresh round of hires with a company, but if not i'll travel to where the work is and go from there, like i did before). -edit-
The UK is in Europe so why are you asking about the release date for some where you already said there not getting it?
Because i have a post on this game in another forum and would like to post this information as there are members from the UK. And has it been said by a member of IC or SD that Canada will be shipped Sins a week after the USA, and if so why?

9 Replies 24,122 Views

IIRC, the UK is not part of the EU, and i was assuming when they said Europe they meant the EU mostly. I know Canada will getting Sins on the 8th at the latest (when a store in my city will receive the game.), i'm just hopping that is not the earliest i can get it (i plan on moving temporarily within the first 2 weeks of February and would REALLY like to play this game before then).

9 Replies 24,122 Views

I have looked but can not find a list of release dates for various countries. IIRC, USA gets Sins on the 4th, Russia/Canada is getting the game, europe is being anal and not getting it indecently, and Australia is getting in April. And that is the extent of what i know. Can someone point me to a list (i recall seeing a post on this topic but can't find it), or inform me. Most notably for Canada and the UK.

I think i've gone half blind just by looking at that blob of white texte with black background. Some paragraphs would do wonders for people actually reading that.

29 Replies 11,209 Views

Quick question. Anyone know where that thread listing what countries Sins ships on Feb 04? Canada specifically. Normally we get the same release dates for just about everything as the USA gets, but i noted some issues with release dates in Europe and Australia.

Btw, i am not a doubter of this game, i am actually REALLY looking froward to it. But with the DRM flying around atm like chimps and something unmentionable at the zoo, i have begun to boycott any game with unreasonable DRM which is why wanted to clarify your anti piracy measures. I do not believe that your anti piracy measures are unreasonable, but i will not say it is good until monday when i get the game and update it. btw http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.aspx?catid=8
I think any quick survey of GalCiv users will show that 99% of them are very happy with the system. GalCiv II did the same thing. The shipping game was hardly "flawed". It was the game in the box that averaged a 4.5 out of 5 star review from dozens of different sources. What we do is reward customers with additional CONTENT after release as we make it. Not just a one-time thing but as an ongoing thing. For users who don't have acce

@ kryo Thanks for the response. How the games detects what machine it is on clears up a lot of worries.
if you don't have access on your sins machine, you can copy a block of characters to removable media and activate by email through another machine
I think you're saying that this is the method to install and update/play online on a different machine then what the game was originally. As long as this is documented in the manual OR a readme file on
